COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hi.P.A. is a medium-bodied groove with a fresh and fruitful nose of tympanic temptation. It begins and ends with a big hop bite that is itself forever balanced on the brink by a steady rhythm of malt. Dry-hopped for extra quenching in the face of heat and beat, it’s an ideal accompaniment to chilling out, turning inward or sailing onward through the music of the night toward the dawn of the mind. It’s the liquid way to say be here now lest you never come this way again.

Crunchy pine and grapefruit hops hanging on the palate, culminating in a dry bark ending...Malt is non-consequential it seems, this a hop quaffer...As pleasantly sense numbing and thirst quenching as Rogue's Brutal Bitter...

12oz bottle, thanks to Robotopera. Mildly hazy dark yellow color, thin white head, little lace. Great nose, very sweet and dry. Strawberry / peach? Nectary. Good carbonation, crisp. Nice, mild aftertaste. Slightly on the syrupy side, but it works. Good IPA.

12 oz bottle. Golden colour with a thick, sticky, white head. Very fresh hoppy nose, grapefruit, light papaya and other tropical fruit. Flavour is well-balanced. Moderate bitterness, but loads of hoppy flavour, pale malt sweetness that lets the hops shine. Tropical fruit in the hops. Great balance. Clean malts and a tasty hop bill. Nothing to complain about here.

Bottle. Good nose of grassy fresh hops, dank almost, some honey and birch and pine scent as well. Crisp and moderately light on the tongue, some grassy honey flavors, light and refreshing, could almost convince me that it’s a wheat hybrid at times except for the tangy bitterness. I thought this was a pretty decent IPA, meaning that at the very least it satisfied my hop cravings.

Bottle. Pours orange with a white head. Hoppy nose with notes of flowers and fruit and even a hint of alcohol. Thin/medium body. Hops stick in your mouth. Taste is mostly orange and a bit peachy, with some other fruits. It sounds like a good combination, but it didn’t really work for me. Bitter finish.

Poured light copper with off white head that lasted less than a minute. Initially the aroma seemed slightly spicy like a chili pepper. Behind that is sweet maltiness. The taste starts with a medley of spices that I can’t distinguish. I swear I taste chili powder. After that are light floral hoppiness and some sweet maltiness. Interesting brew.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2011 8/11/11. 12oz bottle. Almost clear dark golden pour with a small, fluffy off-white head that fades but laces a ton. Old lady perfumey aroma with oxidation and an overload of caramel malt. Sweet perfumey flavor as well with a hint of dry grass. Blech.

Bottle. Straw with a coarse bubbled, tufting head festooning the glass. Neat hop Punk IPA juiciness on the snout; grapefruit, passion fruit, tomato vine, lemon and lime wine gummage with a crumb of biscuit. Lean and spiky with a big slug of puckering, tonic water and grapefruit juice bitterness mellowed slightly by stewed tea, liquorice and honey-dabbed biscuit. Drinks like Punk- a big welcome surprise after the tipper that was #9.
