COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hi.P.A. is a medium-bodied groove with a fresh and fruitful nose of tympanic temptation. It begins and ends with a big hop bite that is itself forever balanced on the brink by a steady rhythm of malt. Dry-hopped for extra quenching in the face of heat and beat, it’s an ideal accompaniment to chilling out, turning inward or sailing onward through the music of the night toward the dawn of the mind. It’s the liquid way to say be here now lest you never come this way again.

12oz bottle. Looks light. Aroma of floral and lightly bitter hops, some pale and caramel malts, and some dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not terrible.

Very poor for a new IPA you would expect to be good. Almost budweisrer clear....a somewhat nice hop character but not overly impressive.

I had two different bottles of Hi.P.A. One with the blue lady on the front, one with this sort of 70’s hippy gold label on it. The Blue Lady bottle was a deep yellow with a foamy white head. It smelled of hops and cat urine, which was sort of offputting. The flavor was burnt and hoppy with none of the sweetness that I’m used to in IPAs. It was very unbalanced. The other bottle, however, was a deeper amber, with the same foamy head. It had a lightly hoppy aroma and was mildly sweet-- not as bitter as it’s sister.

This one resembles an IPA, but has a weak hop profila and a dominant sugary malt profile. Way below average.

Pours an orange/copper color with a decent sized white head. AQroma of pine hops, citrusy fruit, and sweet malts. Flavor was a little chemical for me, like perfume with hops, i wasn’t crazy about this IPA, good body, but nothing great.

Bottled version. Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a thin white head. Aroma is piney and grassy and sufficiently mouth watering. Slight malty background in the nose. Flavor takes a turn for the worse. Pine like bitterness at the start with a strangely lingering soapy finish. Not exactly a chore to drink but not what I was hoping for either.

From this spring’s sampler 12pk. Plenty of fizzy white head. Aroma of hops along with plenty of hops in palate. Too bad I’m not a big hops fan.
