Brownish color pour with a head that fades rapidly. Plain ol beery aroma. Friendly initial low alky malty taste makes this presentable. Decent amount of co2 on the palate. Comes across a little creamy. Yes, friendly and rather easy. I was expecting something overly malty for some reason but this is not too bad! Picking up some carob in there I think. Good overall beer experience. Probably could drink a few of these at a stiing. More like a mild ale. pumpmaster (1393) - Pembroke Pines, Florida, USA - DEC 13, 2011

One of the tastier Irish Ale’s I’ve tried. Red, nice looking, very malty and rich, with malt notes such as toffee, sugar, sweet but not too sweet. Very well done session ale. tgncc (3132) - Bellmore, New York, USA - NOV 16, 2011
Tap at international Beer Fest 2011. I’m usually more impressed with Magic Hat’s bravery in brewing new and unusual styles each year, more so than I am with their execution. Not the case here. The aroma is earthy, caramel. The appearance is a deep red, cream-colored head. The flavor is earth, caramel, pine. The fiish is light pine, lingering sweetness. Medium to medium/thick in body. Quite good. Standout for this style. theyshookhands (243) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - NOV 15, 2011

Dark reddish pour with a small white head. Caramel malt and cider notes lead to biscuit fruitiness and lactic hints. Medium body with low carbonation. Slightly astringent. Not good... Headbanger (3999) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - OCT 13, 2011
