26 oz bottle. Dark brown with a tannish head. Nose is smoke with hints of coffee and molasses. Silky medium body with a faint tingle. Taste is caramel, coffee, cola and smoke. As it warms more fruity with raisin and plum, the sweetness helping to balance the smoke.

Pours dark brown with minimal tan head. Aroma is smoky with a metallic hint. Flavor is roasty/smoky with super smoky creeping in...no medicinal/band aid though. Mouthfeel is light/medium with a very smoky dry finish.

Bottle. Smoky meaty, chocolate malt aroma. Dark brown with a thin ring of bubbles. Smoky peaty malt, slightly meaty, coffee, chocolate flavor, with a light roasty finish. Slightly artificial type sweetness. Light to medium body, soft carbonation.

Pours dark brown color with tan head. Aromas of lightly smoked malts with some chocolate. Moderately smokey flavor with some sweet milk chocolate. Medium body with average carbonation. Decent but not a serious smoked beer. A smoked beer with training wheels.

Pours a black color with a medium beige head. Average aroma of slightly smoked and roasted malt. Average flavor of smoked and roasted malt with a mild bitter finish. The body is light with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. Not bad, but very forgetable.

Meh...a very average beer. Aroma was alright. Heavy on the roasted malt and chocolate with a slight hint of smoke. Pour was a deep dark brown with a one finger near tan head. Taste was a little off. The heavy roasted malt and chocolate overpowered in the beginning. The smoke seemed to be an afterthought and almost tasted medicinal. Slight band-aid flavor in the finish. Decent carbonation.

At a tasting, many thanks YK23 & eyes_wide_shut, murky dark brown colour aroma of dried horse droppings, porcini mushrooms, mud, smoke, composte and some dark bread in the back, flavour of dark bread with soome dried fruits, caramel and a hint of smoke and charred wood, medium to light body. Could be excellent with a little more body, but still very good.

Lightly smoked, which is just another way of saying "not smoked enough". I mean, if you’re going with flames and the label and a name like "burn pile" the smoke should be more than just subtle and complimentary. That or use a better base beer.
