Aroma: The nose has some fruit, pilsner malts, grass, earth, and floral notes
Appearance: Pours a cloudy golden-orange color with a frothy white head and heavy lace
Flavor: Tastes medium-plus sweet, similar to the nose, with a light hops/light hot malt finish
Palate: It’s medium-plus bodied, has a smooth, creamy, slightly sticky feel, and finishes mildly hot and dry
I tend to be fairly unexcited by much of what I’ve tried from Magic Hat, and while this wasn’t incredible, I think it’s a top Magic Hat offering for me. You know that typical MH taste? I didn’t get much of that here, so that’s nice... While this still wasn’t a great beer, it’s good to see a generally mediocre brewery showing a little bit of improvement. That’s about as complimentary as I can get on this one.
750mL corked and caged bottle. Pours clear dark gold and orange with a 3-finger frothy eggshell head that leaves some fine lacing. Aromas of sweet Pilsner malt, grass, hay, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet malt, raisin and dark molasses and fig, and sweet alcohol, with a bitter grassy finish. Medium carbonation and body. Pretty good. Bottle: Pours a clear straw with micro floaties and a medium white head, hay and grass in the aroma, medium bodied with playful carbonation and a mellow ending, starts and ends lightly bitter. jimhilt (2621) - Bow, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 7, 2012
Pours a two finger white head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Crystal clear golden amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Grassy nose and flavor is sweet grapefruit and peach but finish is lingering bitter hops. Higher ABV is hidden. $8.29 for a caged and corked 750ml (I think, the label also has 26oz which is 769ml) bottle from Beverage Warehouse Winooski, VT.

Clear golden pour, small white head. Sweet bready malt aroma, some light alcohol, grains and grassy hops. Medium mouthfeel, soft carb. Light corny finish, with some alcohol warming and some sweet caramel, bready malts. jsmerig (1663) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 23, 2012
Pours a clear golden yellow. With a foamy white head. Aroma of pale malt and noble hops. Taste is sweet and spicy up front. Finishes on the citrusy bitter side. Alcohol content is nicely masked. Not my favorite but good. bth122 (1629) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 23, 2012
Draft. Golden color with full frothy head. Aroma is fresh grains and lite floral and citrus notes. Lite sweet, lite bitter. Medium body. Nice fresh grain notes, with fresh floral notes. Texture is creamier. Decent bitter finish. LinusStick (3498) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 19, 2012
A nice imperial pils. Aroma was so so. A distinct hoppiness with a hint of grain. Pour was a cloudy murky light gold with a two finger white head. Taste was nice and hoppy. Creamy mouth feel with sweet grains and light malt playing off the slightly bitter hoppiness. The carbonation is light, which was a disappointment, but the sweet and bitter battle of the flavors made up for it. Nice beer for what it is. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 7, 2012
750ml Bottle: Faint aroma of Pils malts, noble hops, and a hint of cereal. Poured amber in color with a small, creamy, dense, off-white head that lasted throughout. Hazy. Very slightly sparkling. Full of tiny-sized particles throughout. Flavor is lightly sweet and medium bitter. Tastes of Pils malt and noble hops. Light to medium body. Lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Lightly sweet, medium bitter, Pils malt and noble hop finish. Not much flavor or bite. 8.1%ABV is completely hidden throughout.
