750 cc from Capone’s. Pours dark straw colored with 2-finger white head that laces well. Nose is earthy tart fruit, hopcitrus, caro syrup. Tastes sweet, with notes of orange marmalade, spicy peppery notes, and hopcitrus. A bit cloying as it warms, this one is a bit muddled and non-cohesive. Aroma average intensity. Soft malty feel with good but not bold herbal hop feel. Slight touch of caramel, hop acid and red apple. Dry alcohol on top a la Polish Mocne.
Top: medium sized, creamy whit top that created nice rings on glass.
Base: hazy amber.
Palate : medium bodied, with tad lighter yet well paired to body carbonation. Smooth clean top.
Taste: hop presence is far more accented in taste than in aroma with elements of sap. Nice refined bitterness with solid base of malts.
Other notes solid drinkable with warming heat.
2 oz. sample at the brewery. Light hazy gold color. Aroma is Saaz and a grassiness. Light dough.Braudog (6710) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - FEB 2, 2014
Flavor is ok. Wheat base with a nice lingering bitterness from the herbal/ grassy hop with notes of hay. Medium body with proper carbonation. Solid amount of bitterness that lingers well after the sip. Pretty decent.
Bottle, caged and corked. Deep, dark gold-bronze pour. Thin but sudsy head. The aroma is simply big, sweet and biscuity. The beer drinks thusly. Rich with a definite alcohol presence, thickly malty and bready. Good stuff though. (#5424, 2/2/2014) ben4321 (6500) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUL 31, 2012

Aroma: The nose has some fruit, pilsner malts, grass, earth, and floral notes
Appearance: Pours a cloudy golden-orange color with a frothy white head and heavy lace
Flavor: Tastes medium-plus sweet, similar to the nose, with a light hops/light hot malt finish
Palate: It’s medium-plus bodied, has a smooth, creamy, slightly sticky feel, and finishes mildly hot and dry
I tend to be fairly unexcited by much of what I’ve tried from Magic Hat, and while this wasn’t incredible, I think it’s a top Magic Hat offering for me. You know that typical MH taste? I didn’t get much of that here, so that’s nice... While this still wasn’t a great beer, it’s good to see a generally mediocre brewery showing a little bit of improvement. That’s about as complimentary as I can get on this one.
Tap at Eddies. Filtered looking orange-tan body below a steady creamy white head. Nice crisp hop aroma, but a little fruitier taste than I would want for the style. Noble hops carry it. Nice fruity depth. Above average for a Magic Hat. Really grows on you the more you sip on it.
