3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce bottle from City Market in Burlington, VT (February 2008), served at cellar temperature in a Hair of the Dog glass. Clear bronze in color with a largish frothy off-white head that decays slowly and leaves thick lacing....pungent, spicy hops offer hints of wet cedar/pine resin, a bit of citrus, white pepper....the follow-through on the taste buds is solid, with light fruitiness offering just enough sweetness to counterbalance powerful dry woody bitterness up until the finish, which is quite sharp....could be a bit fuller overall, and the carbonation is a bit weak and diffuse; but IPAs and pale ales are something Magic Hat seems to be able to do pretty well, and this is no exception. A reasonable replacement for Fat Angel, I suppose.
Just not much to this. A little hops but a bland flavor. Not sure it's really an ipa. damzz (512) - Massachusetts, USA - SEP 14, 2017
Pours a deep copper gold with a white head that leaves much lacing. Nose is faint hops. Taste is malt with a faith earthy hop bite. Bitterness in the aftertaste. 12 oz bottle Drperky76 (32) - - SEP 10, 2017
I always try to grab a few bottles of Lucky Kat when Magic Hat periodically rolls it out. Nice IPA with just a touch of malt.

Drank from the can. Lower IBU for an IPA. Crisp and refreshing. Would definitely purchase and drink again.

Pours a medium hazy golden yellow. Aromas of citrus hops and a touch of pale malts. Flavor is crisp bitter citrus hop with a nice lingering aftertaste. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 4, 2016
Bottle. Pours a clear bright copper body under a small fizzy off-white head that faded fairly quickly. The nose is malt forward with caramel and toffee, a lesser amount of piney hops. The flavor is a bit boring, some sweet malt at it’s base, light to moderate bitterness, a rather nondeScript hop profile. Light to medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Meh, this was alright, but nothing that stands out as a whole. MarinEvelyn (854) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 31, 2015
