The Evolved Euro-Style Lager. Brewed to spur the people to unite in the fight for imbibing emancipation and smash the oppressive tyranny of malt monotony! Mother Lager was a refreshing, evolved alternative to the familiar Euro-style imports, exported from the Peoples Republic of Vermont.

Non existent head with a skunky flavor and smell. Flat and skunky just about sums up the experience. Mother Lager? Mother of what?

Bottle pour into shaker pint glass from One Stop Market. Aroma is mild cracker, pilsner malts. Appearance is clear pale yellow with greenish tinge, huge sparkle and nice two finger-width foamy white head with nice retention and fair lacing. Taste is as aroma. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, lively carbonation and dry, lightly bitter finish. Overall, very macro-esque. The appearance and palate are better than average but its nothing Id get again.

Bottle at home. Corny, grainy, grassy, bit of citrus. Sweet pale malt, grassy crisp finish. Not terrible at all.

12 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a clear gold with a white head of foam that dissipates quickly. The aroma is corny and a bit floral. Some fruity sweetness comes through at first, but it dries out and gets bitter and floral. Lighter in body and has medium carbonation. Pretty enjoyable all things considered.

clear gold color; light, earthy malt aroma with light floral hop notes; very mild, weak, watery flavor; very light, earthy malt with really mild hops; another really unimpressive beer in the spring 2016 box set

Seems like this ones pulling a Brett Favrerrreevrve. Standard entry level "micro" pale lager. I give these a chance cause singles are cheap, but this really really pointless.

Pours clear yellow with hints of orange and a white head. Aroma is grass and bread. Taste follows nose.

Magic hat can just close up shop at this point. They were a decent gateway into craft beers and now they've become the miller lite and bud lite of it. This hardly has any aroma, taste is very weak and the finish is slight bitter with an overwhelming amount of nothing. Fuck off, MH! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2016 Very light malty smell, very pale color, taste is a little bitter then mellows out to a very very light maltiness, one dimentional...a dry bittery beer...not my thing x2

From the 12 fl.oz. bottle. Yellow pour with modest white head. This is one of those Magic Hat brews where the funky in-house yeast takes over all the other aromas you might pick up. I get toast, Magic Hat yeast, grass, Magic Hat yeast, and bread. Yes, I deliberately said Magic Hat yeast twice. Light to medium body. The taste has a fine bitterness with the Magic Hat yeast and toasted bread. Ends fairly clean.
