Floral aroma, bright golden appearance. The hop flavor reminds me slightly of Sierra Nevada pale ale. I’ve had other summer beers that taste similar to this and I was not a fan. I would pass on having another one of these. sawdeanz (5) - Florida, USA - FEB 14, 2013 does not count
Purchased from Rally. Enjoyed in a Weizen glass. Light beer taste but with more pronounced hops and a grassy aroma/taste. Fairly smooth and mild hops finish. Lasting bittersweet aftertaste. Medium golden color with lively bubbles and a satisfyingly persistent fluffy head about a finger thick with lacing. It is enjoyable but I might reach for something else first. Pours a hazy yellow. Aroma is very floral, dandelion, sweet grass, with a bit of pale malt. Crisp and fresh with a nice dry finish. This is actually a very nice Magic Hat in my opinion. Flavor is floral without being overly herbal or vegetative, the sweetness is well balanced, and there is a reserved bitterness that tingles the tongue only slightly. A very refreshing beer at a nice price point. Scipio (1269) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - FEB 12, 2013
Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is floral and fruity, containing lemon, grass, and some wheat. Slightly bubblegummish. The taste, while still floral, has more fruity elements. Still lemon, along with orange, apple, and pair. It has some yeast in there as well. Aftertaste is floral and grainy. Light in body, thin in texture, with average carbonation. I can’t really describe this as refreshing. It is ok, but you can do better than this. werberski (25) - New York, USA - FEB 11, 2013
nice bitterness and easy to drink. Small hint of dandelion. usually dont care for magic hat but this one isnt too bad. might get again.

Clear yellow pour with a small fizzy white head. Aroma is weird....dirty grains and cat piss with some acidity. Flavor is bland, light crisp grains and some light pine hops. I don’t understand this. CharmCityCrab (249) - Maryland, USA - FEB 10, 2013
Tastes like dandellions and acid with some light bittering hops and very tepid malts in the background. You know those post-apocylptic sci-fi movies? This is what the main character would probably be drinking, brewed from weed like flowers grown in acid rain. Passable in a mix pack, but not worth seeking out. durhambeer (2585) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Bottle from Sam’s in Durham. Pours a light orange/dark gold haze with a white head. Nose is sweet grain, light vegetal, wheat, some light acidity. Floral and grassy notes. Similar taste but with a touch more sweetness and a dry palate. I could perhaps drink six of these. It’s different. robiannelli (599) - West Deptford, New Jersey, USA - FEB 9, 2013
12oz bottle pours yellow with a thin white head. Aromas are faint some slight floral notes and citrus with some slight bread. Flavor is watery and very weak but on the bitter side. Body is thin and watery with a weak finish novels (424) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 8, 2013
What in tarnation is this dandelion ale? Served up first in January, which is a bit too early to be thinking of spring, grass, and flowers, which this beer didn’t have much flavor of anyway. Flat, boring.
