COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Stop and smell the petals. Pistil is a summer beer unlike any other, brewed with a combination of dandelion petals, Pale and Acidulated malts, flaked oats, and Apollo and Northern Brewer hops that results in a one-of-a-kind beer with a slightly sour acidity and a smooth malt body. Perfect for taking down deep thirst.

Bottle from Heritage Liquors. Hazy light yellow pour with a very carbonated head. Light floral scents, and the very high carbonation masks almost all else. Not very good.

Pours very turbid canary with splotchy white head and a lot of floaties. Nose is floral, spicy, and hopcitric. Tastes very dry, tannic, spicy, floral, with a watery palate and a finishing earthy flavor.

2013-04-29. Crisp yellow body, small white head. Modest bitterness, light pale malt, and light notes of what I might or might not identify as dandelion if I didn’t know what it was. Light lemon touches. Smooth average bodied palate, modest carbonation. Quaffable, light overall but just enough flavour to be kind of enjoyable. Sampled at the brewery

Bottle @ home picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a somewhat hazy, golden appearance with a cream colored head. Very floral, big herbal, grainy straw, a bit earthy aroma. Flavor is just a bit tart with just a touch of fruit and plenty of grainy malts and oats. Floral, a bit spicy, and pretty tasty. I’m tempted to pick up a sixer of this, which is a great complement from a fucken ticker.

Clear light golden with a slight chill haze, under an unstable rocky white head. Aroma is floral hoppy but not too strong..definitely smells like a 4.5% beer, with quiet dandelion notes and a little pale ale malt body. Flavor is nice and crisp with a surprising amount of bitterness (good thing), coming with more of that pale malt backbone and crisp floral and grassy hops. Honestly if it weren’t for the slight bit of dandelion on the nose, I would confuse this for a Sierra Nevada Pale. Drinkable body with a low-abv-ipa bitterness throughout.

[5304-20130429] Tap. Mild grassy aroma. Clear, pale yellow body with a quick foamy white head. Bitter lemon pip grass flavour has a quick finish. Medium body. Interesting, abrupt. (6/3/7/3/14) 3.3

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, clear orange-yellow pour with white head, aroma brought notes of slight grain, grass, hints of flowery notes, an earthy tone, some biscuit and bread as well. Taste is a watery mix of wet grain, bread, biscuit, some slight flower notes, earth, spice, finishing dry.

Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Flowery and a little earthy, with grass, lightly sweet malts, and the slightest acidity. Moderately dry finish. Pretty damn good.

DrSilverworm (9672) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 2, 2013
12oz bottle, from Party Source. Shared with caterwaul. Mostly clear dandelion yellow color. More hazy with particles in the last pour.. Thin white head. Little loose lace, but good head retention. Definitely a more floral nose. Bready malt base. Lighter body, smooth, lighter carbonation - easy drinking, light bitter, more sweet, some light orange-citrus zest. Nice, zesty, floral golden. Drinkable and refreshing.
