COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Stop and smell the petals. Pistil is a summer beer unlike any other, brewed with a combination of dandelion petals, Pale and Acidulated malts, flaked oats, and Apollo and Northern Brewer hops that results in a one-of-a-kind beer with a slightly sour acidity and a smooth malt body. Perfect for taking down deep thirst.

Pailhead (6488) - Plymouth, Michigan, USA - JUN 4, 2013
Bottle: The aroma consists of lightly tart citrus, floral notes, honey, and a touch of bread. It pours a transparent gold with a one finger, slightly fizzy, white head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a thicker ring. There is some thin webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a touch of sweet honey. The finish turns to light-moderate citrus hops, grapefruit, and light floral notes. Its light bodied with lively/fizzy carbonation. Overall, it tastes like a lightly floral Pale Ale. Its a decent lawn mower beer.

12 oz. bottle from The Beer Store. English pint shows me a hazy piss gold color with lots of particles floating tin the liquid. Nose is honey and pale malt. Taste is strictly pale malt with a very subtle flower essence. Light body with a short abrupt finish.

This poured a clear yellow colorw ith a white head. Aroma was of light mint, grain, and not much else. Didn;t really taste the dandellion, at least i dont think, mainly just grainy plain bland golden ale.

Pours nearly clear gold with a puffy white head. Scent is floral.....it truly does showcase the dandelion. Taste is na odd, grassy, floral, herbal, malty......dullness. ....strange bittering. Quite....unusual.

12oz bottle from Drum Hill Liquor, Chelmsford, NH. A cloudy pale amber pour with a ring of white head; sweet aroma; grainy body with a slight sourness thats quite refreshing. I was a bit uncertain about this when I saw the ingredients, but its actually a good summer refresher.

Yellow, almost but not quite clear, fizzy white head. Smells grainy, grassy, with a whiff of corn. Flavor is cereal, a bit grassy, and an odd bitterness that seems familiar but I cant quite place it. Dry, slightly woody finish.

Pours hazy yellow with a small white patchy head. The aroma is very powdery and floral with pale malt, chalk and some fruitiness. Medium / light body thats crisp with the light sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with weird herbal notes along with the aroma traits The finish is quite peppery. Decent beer.

kramer (5950) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 5, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear yellow gold body with a fizzy white head that had pretty good retention for a Magic Hat beer. The nose is light, fruity, and floral with a scent that does actually remind me of dandelion wine actually. The flavor is a bit overly thin and weak though, actually pretty downright watery. Theres a slight floral hoppiness and a minimal bitterness on the back end, along with a light perfume like quality. Thin bodied and very fizzy with a vegetal finish. Cant say too many good things about this one.
