COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Stop and smell the petals. Pistil is a summer beer unlike any other, brewed with a combination of dandelion petals, Pale and Acidulated malts, flaked oats, and Apollo and Northern Brewer hops that results in a one-of-a-kind beer with a slightly sour acidity and a smooth malt body. Perfect for taking down deep thirst.

Pours a cloudy gold with a small white head. Aroma is hay-like malts. Taste is easy light malts, light syrup, and a faint black pepper in the finish.

Was interested that this was made with dandelion petals. Murky gold pour. Aroma was very earthy and grassy with some citrus. Taste was dry and had some dandelion bitterness. There is a noticeable malt presence toward the end which (to me) kinda ruin what was going on with the dandelion and florals notes. A thicker beer than I would have thought. Overall, kinda a cool idea which kinda delivers. Fun, but not great.

The aroma has some spice to it, but aside from that, I could have classified this beer into several categories. It’s nondescript, save for the aroma. But OK.

Seasonal 12-pack from the DWG Majestic. Cloudy, amber pour with a white head. Aroma is floral, citrus, and pleasant. Taste is almost tart, citrus, bready, and bitter earth.

Poured up a hazy gold with a decent white head that faded out to a lace. Smells of grain with a bit of floral. Tastes of grain and citris. Will admit this is the first brew I have had with dandelion so I will have to also say it is different than most other brews. Not something I would just go out for but it is not too bad. Then again I am not a much of a fan of Magic Hat so it does make me wonder what another brewer could do with dandelions.

The aroma is hoppy with grassy, soapy, and citrusy hops and it has a yeasty bread element. The appearance is hazy gold with a large head. The taste is bitter and pretty much just hops. The palate is average. Overall it’s not what I expected it’s a bitter IPA type of beer but it’s not bad.

the thing I am getting from this beer is a real sharp bite. it really punch you hard then doesn’t stop. the very first sip is a real bitter with some definite floral taste and a bit of honey. slightly spicy with a a golden straw color for effect.

Bottle cap say: "the planet has needs for your deeds." Pours a highly carbonated light caramel. Aromas of dry hops, malty grain, slight hints of grass, and a lightly sweet hint of toffee. Flavors of light grass, light sweet grain, and slight hay. Lightly sweet, crisp, mostly clean, and light in flavors. Nothing really stands out, but fun to try different mixes in the brews. The danelion actually can be noticed by thinking really hard and reminding oneself, "oh yeah, this flavor is the petals." yum? ......

Little floral flavor and aroma. A little more than medium body. Decently easy to drink - a so so beer all in all. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle during Company of Thieves concert. happy to grab a couple rates during a show unfortunately they are Magic Hat. really nice looking label and the beer pours ok. however thats about it. nose is of grass and yeast. tastes mostly of yeast, malt, grass, light lemon, and dandelion. light bitter but its watery and could do with a bunch more taste
