Bottle. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a short white head. Pale malt aroma with wheat, grass and floral notes. Flavor was lightly bitter with citrus, sweet grains, herbs, flowers and pine gsmitty80 (2130) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 27, 2012
I liked this beer. Ill give it a bump down for the appearance as everyone else has but it has a nice crisp and sweet flavor that it is going for. Nice floral tastes hit the palate nicely and dissipate in the finish. No ’Magic Hat’ taste to this one. Better than what i rated it if you like a sweet, summery, session beer. Bottle. Good grief! This pours a clear looking gold until I look closely and realize there are a thousand billion unidentified floaty objects swirling around in the body under the finger or so of soapy looking head. Aromas are thick with skunky euro lager hops and a little lemongrass or something herbal. Favor is a poor mix of honey and sweet underatennuated malt with a little bit of a herbal edge to it that might, if I were feeling generous, border on dandelion. It is classically Magic Hat in that it is a clever idea that is somewhat shoddily executed and falls short of the target. It’s fine as a summer sipper type beer that is lower in ABV, but to market it as anything more than that is misleading, to say the least. TomTron (462) - South Carolina, USA - OCT 16, 2012
Pours a hazy yellow with a thin white head. Aromas of citrus zest, lemon, and light malts. Flavors of citrus, lemon, acidity and a rather dry, almost puckering finish. Honestly not as bad as expected, but still nothing I really cared for. CharmCityCrab (249) - Maryland, USA - FEB 10, 2013
Tastes like dandellions and acid with some light bittering hops and very tepid malts in the background. You know those post-apocylptic sci-fi movies? This is what the main character would probably be drinking, brewed from weed like flowers grown in acid rain. Passable in a mix pack, but not worth seeking out.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, clear orange-yellow pour with white head, aroma brought notes of slight grain, grass, hints of flowery notes, an earthy tone, some biscuit and bread as well. Taste is a watery mix of wet grain, bread, biscuit, some slight flower notes, earth, spice, finishing dry. Block (3222) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - MAY 7, 2013
Yellow pour with a white head. Aroma is sweet and mostly of apples. Flavor is also sweet, a little too sweet. More apple flavor without a great hop balance. JFGrind (2074) - Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 29, 2013
UPDATED: MAY 30, 2013 For everything listed as ingredients in the golden ale with pillowy head I thought there would be more complex overall flavors. Lightest bitterness, floral and earth flavors, come together just don’t go anywhere for me. Panzuriel (2446) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - JUN 1, 2013
Pistil Pours a golden slightly hazy with medium amount of small bubbles. Nose is faint hops and something hard to distinguish. Taste is malty, slightly sweet and a savory touch of something like french onion soup. Body is mildly lively. finishes clean. refreshing beer. glennmastrange (2942) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - AUG 10, 2013
Bottle. Moderate straw and dried grass for the malt and hops, earth for the yeast, with cardboard and green leaves in the background. Head is huge, frothy turning rocky, white, with good lacing and is fully lasting Color is clear at first but hazy at the end of the pour, light yellow/amber. Flavor start lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and faintly bitter. Palate is light to medium, between watery and dry, with a fizzy carbonation. Kind of an average pale ale with a bit of uniqueness to it.
