Bottle. Pour is hazy amber. Aroma and taste are spicy rye, these ipa on tour beers pretty much suck.

Bottle. Poured a hazy amber color with an off white head. Floral, bready, and some spiciness.

Really good looking pour - slightly cloudy, reddish-walnut in color. Rapidly dissipating creamy head, with very faint lacing. Crisp boozy texture, slight fruit flavors and and intricate hoppiness. Residual alcohol burn. Challenging, but very enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy amber coloured body with a brown glow and a thin, one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of rye, light hops, alcohol, a touch of figs and pit fruits and bunches of earth. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong rye flavour with a lot of grain flavour, some light hops and a very watery flavour right afterwards - no depth at all on the flavour. Aftertaste has a hint of pit fruits, but not much at all noticeable aside from the earthy malty rye. Overall, a pretty poor offering, but that was expected from the brewery - however, this is slightly surprising that such a potent grain could make such a bland beer - there is simply no complexity at all here. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 13-July-2013 for US$2.00 sampled at home in Washington on 26-August-2013.

The aroma is outstanding -- like beer potpourri, with spice, hops, and malt. It is a good looking beer, nothing remarkable... muddy brown amber. Mouthfeel is somewhat bitter... rye is fairly strong on the taste, aftertaste is sweet -- all combined, kind of odd but reasonable. It’s not bad.

Scrapersnbeer (1532) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JUL 26, 2013
Spicy sweet malt aroma as one expects from rye ale. Dark orange, near brown color. Very sweet, bitter lemon grass flavor. Easily identifiable as rye, more like an IPA than anything else I suppose. Very crisp, cutting, and dry.

Appearance: pours a 1” cream colored fluffy head that recedes slowly. Color is a lovely hazy amber/copper. Moderate lacing and carbonation bubbles. Aroma: aroma is very pleasant combination of bready malts, citrus rind, and piney hops. Mouthfeel: fairly light and a little bit sticky with a very dry finish. Flavor: Very tasty brew. The same flavors as the aroma, sweet bread dough malts, and tangy citrus and pine hops. However, there is an additional peppery flavor that hits the middle of the sip and roof of my mouth (I assume this is from the Rye). And there is a lingering alcohol warming in the throat. Overall: This is a most excellent offering from Magic Hat.

Pours an almost cleat copper with a long lasting head. Great caramel and citrus aroma. Well balanced, very nice on the palate with a good east coast IPA bitterness. Excellent IPA.

Bottle-purchased at Walgreens in Las Cruces, NM-pours deep murky hazy amber hue with a nice soapy eggshel white head. no lacing. nose is herbal tea, lite musty notes, woody hops, lite wet carboard, lite rye spice notes. flavors exhibit the rye bigtime-big woody, spicy malt profile with some minerals, lite herbal tea like hop qualities. I think this beer has a bit of age on it. However, its a clean beer, which is good for this brewery. I would imagine that fresh sample of this beer would be decent. finish is not very bitter at all, some woody notes, herbal tea like traits and a splash of rye that goes long after the sip. fairly dry as well.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear dark amber huge beige head and lots of lacing. Citrus fruit and malts on the nose. Taste is spicy rye, nice hoppy bitterness balanced with some sweet caramel malts. Interesting and somehow different. Nice beer.
