3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark amber with a thin white head. Aromas of spices and some light hops but rather faint. Flavor is mainly rye with some earthy hops but it’s not really blowing my skirt up. It’s drinkable and the alcohol is hidden well but that’s all it has going for it.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours a dark amber from the bottle. Aroma is a nice hoppy earthiness, but flavor falls short, as I feel a lot of Magic Hat’s beers do. They don’t quite gel, just disparate flavor elements that don’t make the whole greater than the sum of its parts.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draught @ Recovery in Troy: This one pours a murky brown, and was somewhat milky. There was a small white head that left some lacing. It has a lighter aroma. Some rye, grapefruit and pine. The taste is fair: some of the hops come thry (grapefruit and pint) as well as some rye. I probably won’t have this one again.
