Really good looking pour - slightly cloudy, reddish-walnut in color. Rapidly dissipating creamy head, with very faint lacing. Crisp boozy texture, slight fruit flavors and and intricate hoppiness. Residual alcohol burn. Challenging, but very enjoyable.

bottle - Pours hazy dark copper with a small head. It smells hoppy with some mild citrus. The flavor is moderately to strongly bitter with rye spiciness. It’s medium bodied and fairly good.

Light redish brown, thin quickly disappearing head and lace.
Smells and tastes sweet, coffee, root beer, not well refined palate.

Copper pour with a light beige head. aroma IS SWEET AND FLORAL HOPS. nICE TASTY RYE BASE. crisp FINISH WITH RYE AFTERTASTE. hops AND RYE BALANCE WELL. 7.1% ALC. WELL HIDDEN. Quick3Beers (1234) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 1, 2015
Pours a dark amber from the bottle. Aroma is a nice hoppy earthiness, but flavor falls short, as I feel a lot of Magic Hat’s beers do. They don’t quite gel, just disparate flavor elements that don’t make the whole greater than the sum of its parts.

Moderately hoppy IPA. Some rye flavor but not too strong. Decent, but not great. boto (2211) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - OCT 11, 2014
Draught @ Recovery in Troy: This one pours a murky brown, and was somewhat milky. There was a small white head that left some lacing. It has a lighter aroma. Some rye, grapefruit and pine. The taste is fair: some of the hops come thry (grapefruit and pint) as well as some rye. I probably won’t have this one again. slowrunner77 (12051) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 16, 2014
"Light bodied ipa. Decent aromatic hop profile. easy on the palate with some pine and a dry spiciness from the rye. Pleasant, if simple. Definitely refreshing." wlajwl (6813) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - SEP 10, 2014
Aroma is fruit, malts and a hint of spicy rye. The flavor is fruit, earthy, rye, malts, citrus/tropical fruit, mild sweetness and a low but lasting bitter finish. R4N5H (1182) - NETHERLANDS - AUG 24, 2014
