3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured a deep amber color, almost brown. An off white head that had decent retention and nice lace. Some carbonation present. Aroma was a mix of sweet caramel malts. A nice peppery rye note and a dose of hops mostly pine. Flavor was initially sweet from the malts but gave way to the pepper of the rye. Hops were good, assertive but not over powering. Finish was dry. Alcohol was certainly present.

Pours clear dark amber with a small beige head, some lacing. Malty, caramel, fruity and bready, rye spices
Decent, too malty for me
Bottle from the mix a six at Hannaford.
Deep amber light copper in color with a good sized long lasting frothy off white head. Malty bready caramel on the nose with bits of earth and spice. Fruity earthy bready caramel malty flavor. Not much spice or hops in the flavor. Middle of the road at best like just about everything else from this brewery. Soupordean (61) - New Jersey, USA - JUN 4, 2017
bottle - Pours hazy dark copper with a small head. It smells hoppy with some mild citrus. The flavor is moderately to strongly bitter with rye spiciness. It’s medium bodied and fairly good.

Light redish brown, thin quickly disappearing head and lace.
Smells and tastes sweet, coffee, root beer, not well refined palate.
Consumed at the Microtel in Booksville, FL.

Copper pour with a light beige head. aroma IS SWEET AND FLORAL HOPS. nICE TASTY RYE BASE. crisp FINISH WITH RYE AFTERTASTE. hops AND RYE BALANCE WELL. 7.1% ALC. WELL HIDDEN. Quick3Beers (1273) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 1, 2015
Pours a dark amber from the bottle. Aroma is a nice hoppy earthiness, but flavor falls short, as I feel a lot of Magic Hat’s beers do. They don’t quite gel, just disparate flavor elements that don’t make the whole greater than the sum of its parts. LuckyDog (615) - - DEC 29, 2014
Moderately hoppy IPA. Some rye flavor but not too strong. Decent, but not great. boto (2250) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - OCT 11, 2014
Draught @ Recovery in Troy: This one pours a murky brown, and was somewhat milky. There was a small white head that left some lacing. It has a lighter aroma. Some rye, grapefruit and pine. The taste is fair: some of the hops come thry (grapefruit and pint) as well as some rye. I probably won’t have this one again. slowrunner77 (12162) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 16, 2014
"Light bodied ipa. Decent aromatic hop profile. easy on the palate with some pine and a dry spiciness from the rye. Pleasant, if simple. Definitely refreshing."
