Tap at the wet whistle in abington. Straight caramel, sweet malt. Mildly watery. Boring, pointless. Another disappointment from magic hat. dwyerpg (6231) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - MAY 14, 2012
Doesn’t have a lot of aroma, but some caramel malt. This is not aggressive in any way, but definitely a by-the-books type of lager. Sweet caramel malts and a bit strainy, drinkable. BeerHawk (1810) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - MAY 13, 2012
Bottle. Poured amber with a fizzy, quick off-white head. Aroma of toasted malts and toffee. The flavor found toasted malts with a slight earthy backing. Medium body and a toasted malt aftertaste. Hair6a11 (1481) - Illinois, USA - MAY 8, 2012
Bottle; Pour is murky golden amber with a modest off white head in this glass. It doesn’t retain well, and there is some light lacing present. The nose is biscuits, roast, caramel, and some grains...honestly this is yet another shitty magic hat brew. Marketing is their primary focus here, naturally. It’s thin, way too roasty for the style, more grains and some adjunct... Hated it. Bosco (329) - Boca Raton, Florida, USA - MAY 8, 2012
Pours brown/amber with minimal head/lace.
Dry, sweet, palate is soda poppy.

Crisp, malty, slightly fruity aroma is a little better than many lagers I have sampled. It pours a clear, dark copper with a fine-bubbled, if not too persistent, pale tan head. Crisp, malty flavor has a firm note of apple and just a hint of pear - and is that a touch of hops? Texture is about average, but overall this is a refreshing beer. Good for a party or paired with a light meal. hopdog (12673) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 6, 2012
12oz bottle. Poured an amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of saw dust, some earthiness, and some toasted bread. Tastes of toasted bread, and grains. Thin and somewhat watery body. MisterDenson (78) - Virginia, USA - MAY 5, 2012
12oz bottle drank out of a medium sized snifter glass. A stellar aroma of freshly cut fire wood. The apearance was a pleasant copper color with a half inch head. Flavor; light, woody, and slightly sweet. Palate; extremely light and refreshing, but it was this beer’s weakest attribute. will drink again and re-rate. alcaponejunior (438) - Texas, USA - MAY 5, 2012
Appearance - Not a lot of head or lacing, but the color is a brilliant deep amber, almost purple color, perfectly clear. It’s a pretty color.
Aroma is earthy malts, almost dirt-like (that’s not bad, BTW, I like the smell of freshly dug earth). It’s also just a touch musty.
It reminds me of a bitter or a mild in flavor, earthy, tons of caramel malts and nutty notes, Not outstanding but it kind of grows on you as you drink it.
Rich and smooth, lightly slick, lingering earthy caramel malt aftertaste.
It’s tasty but not outstanding. Quite different for the style though. strongpieman (1651) - Mount Airy, Maryland, USA - MAY 4, 2012
Bottle. Amber color, no head, clear. Mild aroma, very little taste, medium body. Nothing who,ng with this but nothing to reach for either.
