UPDATED: APR 13, 2010 Pours a charming reddish hue. Very slight, pure white head. The flavor is like...it’s trying to taste fruity but it doesn’t quite get there, and it left me a bit unsatisfied. Very smooth with mild and bitter bite towards the end. I would opt for different Magic Hat beer over the Wacko in the future. jtclockwork (17101) - , New Jersey, USA - AUG 6, 2010
Pours a clear raspberry color with white head. Nose is berry, pine and hops. Taste is berry, malts and hops. Not much to it. bhensonb (15624) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 14, 2011
Bottle from Half Time. Pour copper with a slight beige head. Light malty aroma; virtually no hop aroma. Malty in a lightly roasted way. Rather clean. Not much hop. That works tho. It was 101 degs today, and this is working with that. djd07 (15342) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 24, 2010
Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy off pink with a medium creamy off white head that lasts awhile leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is a sweet corn malt and cherry. Thin mouthfeel and a bit watery with a sweet malt and beet flavor, what were they thinking, who likes beets? Not too much going on with this one.

Bottle sample at Party Source.
Poured a clear red color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing.
Moderate red beet and spice aroma.
Light to medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation.
Light to medium sweet flavor with a light to medium sweet finish of short to moderate duration.
Refreshing summer brew.

A reddish pink ale with a thick white head. Light sweet beet aromas, candy sugar, fruity esters. In mouth, a rather light crisp beer, with a bit of beets and rhubarb, overall, light and boring. On tap at Blue Tusk, July 31 2009. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 17, 2009
(12oz bottle, BBE 7/09) Minimal white head atop hazy orange-red body. Aroma is moderately sweet, passion fruit, rose. Taste is medium sweet, fruity seltzer water. Seltzer especially strong in the finish. Light body, light effervescence, some crispness. Drake (14062) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - APR 21, 2009
12 ounce bottle from a sampler. Pours a clear strawberry red color with a large creamy head. Decent head retention and fair lacing. Aroma is malty and slightly grainy with sugar and tart berry-like fruit notes. Taste is brown sugar, beets, grain and a very light toastiness and maltiness. Interesting one. Bottle. Pours ruby/copper with a large, frothy white head, medium-long retention with fair to good lacing. Aroma is average malt (meal, cereal, straw), light hops (spicy) and faint fruit notes. Flavor is heavy malt and not much else. The flavor kind of falls apart and there is not much to this beer; maybe the beet juice color is to distract the average person from the flavor. Light body, low warmth, medium/low warmth and a dry finish.
