330ml bottle, pours black with a small off-white head and a lively carbonation. Aroma of chocolate malt with hints of coffee & chilli spice, dark fruits and lime marmalade. Really well balanced, smooth and moreish, dangerously so. Great beer. Dredd (932) - Bentleigh, AUSTRALIA - SEP 12, 2013

Brown colour head. Black colour. Aroma is malty, fruity with light coffee and raisins notes. Flavor is malty too with dark fruits and lIght licorice tones., ending in a fruity and slightly roasty finish. Medium to full bodied Niall73 (2432) - Ontario, CANADA - AUG 31, 2013
Bottle. Pours dark black/brown - slight red tinge when held to light. Thin tan head. Aroma is meaty (teriyaki) , a touch rubbery, chocolate... Full body, mild carbonation. Rich, with some of that teriyaki meaty thing happening as well as licorice, treacle, bitter coffee, dark choc, a bit of rum. Tasty.

Black color, brown head. Sweet, malty, roasted, salty taste. Salty aftertaste. Warming alcohol. Full mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Sweet, malty scent.
Bottle at home, and keg somewhere... I forget... Anyway I?m rating the bottle I see before me. Pours black as an adulterer?s heart, with a thin coffee-cream head. Lasts well, good lacing. Aromas are liquorice, cream, filth, chocolate, coffee and wantonness. And plums. Maybe cinnamon. Palate is textbook smooth, with roasted notes balancing the sweet. Hides the abv tooooo well. Damned fine. I?ll say it again... Damned fine... What a lady, what a night... Unm4rk3d (87) - Adelaide, AUSTRALIA - AUG 22, 2013
Great light feel beer until the alcohol hits in, which balances well with the taste. This is a bearded lady I would be happy to kiss. dEnk (4200) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - JUL 20, 2013
Bottle @ wwt. Aroma is liquorice, caramel, molasses, nice hoppy notes. Flavour is roasty liquorice, molasses, and more. Nice. The_Osprey (7883) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 19, 2013
Keg. Thick black with big tan head. So big that the bartender had to pour three glasses and then combine them into one. Strangely, the head on the glass I was eventually given doesn’t endure that long. Mouthfeel of the beer is really great and the beer is very easy drinking at 10.5%. Flavour is mostly roasted barley, a little coffee, sweet, bitterness comes late in the flavour along with some raisin. Astringency in aftertaste. A decent beer. The best aspect is the mouthfeel, which must be up there with the best.
