Say hello to the Bearded Lady, our uncompromisingly big and beautiful Imperial Stout. Born from our Dark Arts recipe she uses masses of magical malts to deliver deep chocolate, rich coffee and vinous berry flavours all complemented by a balanced yet subtly spicy hop profile. Powerful, robust, intriguing; yet decadently smooth and sumptuous, the lady demands respect…

Tapped in London. Very round and smooth. Extremely thick, velvet-like. Not much bitterness, easy to drink. Vanilla, smooth milk chocolate, spices. Soft roasted, very round, intense smooth sweetish great aftertaste. Fantastic!!

Cask at CBC 2016, yellow session. Pours black, tan head. Roasted malts, coffee, cocoa, wood, peat. However I believe this one was off because it had certain, very unpleasant plastic aroma/flavor probably from the plastic cask it was served in. When I asked the guys tried to assure me it was just peat, but since I’ve tried handfull of peated BA beers and whiskys I wouldn’t agree on that. Anyway looking at other rates especially at untappd seems something went wrong. It’s a shame cause it seems like a very good brew. Another candidate for re-rate.

Cask? @CBC 2016. Poured near black with a brown looking head. Wood diminates totally in the aroma, some roasted elements and bitter chocolate. Flavor has mostly wood as well, some roastedness. Didn´t like it at all.

Dedollewaitor (16158) - Odense, DENMARK - JUN 1, 2016
Tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration, 2016. Pours black with a creamy head. Nutella, roast, hazel, candy and coffee. Smooth and soft. That artificial feel.

MrOrla (3207) - Odense C, DENMARK - MAY 27, 2016
Tap CBC. Pours black with a tan head. Roast, licorice, light coffe, choko, boozy, nutty. Quite heavy and bit too much booz

rouhlas (3616) - GREECE - MAY 23, 2016
From tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2016 - Yellow session. Black color with beige head. Roasted malty aroma, coffee, cocoa, licorice, fruity, berries, perfume notes. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 19, 2016
Yellow session, Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2016. OPaque black beer with a nice beige/brownish head. Chocolate and licorice aroma, woody, cocoa powder, some raisins and milk chocolate. Chocolate flavor, woody, soot, some peat, cocoa powder, some ash. Good but not the best version of this beer.

martin00sr (4037) - Haderslev, DENMARK - MAY 18, 2016
Cask @CBC16. Black small tan bubbles. Aroma has coffe, wood and roast. Woody flavor, grassy and green leaves. Total turnoff for me… Smooth mouthfeel, sweetish.

weordie (1184) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - APR 23, 2016
Pours black with a thick cocoa head. Aroma is chocolate orange but it’s very faint. A strong alcoholic taste, tastes like a shot of orange liqueur.

ramboraffe (2254) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 10, 2015
Sample at All in beer fest 2015. Black with tanned head. Chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, dried fruit, berries and wine. Semi dry with low to medium carbonation.
