COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Say hello to the Bearded Lady, our uncompromisingly big and beautiful Imperial Stout. Born from our Dark Arts recipe she uses masses of magical malts to deliver deep chocolate, rich coffee and vinous berry flavours all complemented by a balanced yet subtly spicy hop profile. Powerful, robust, intriguing; yet decadently smooth and sumptuous, the lady demands respect…

Cask @CBC16. Black small tan bubbles. Aroma has coffe, wood and roast. Woody flavor, grassy and green leaves. Total turnoff for me… Smooth mouthfeel, sweetish.

Pours black with a thick cocoa head. Aroma is chocolate orange but it’s very faint. A strong alcoholic taste, tastes like a shot of orange liqueur.

DWFAWB; Draft Poured festival style, black with a small bobble frothy and lacing tan head. Nose is moderate to heavy, roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, licorice and alcohol. Taste is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a lasting roasted, sweet licorice finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily to sticky, carbonation is soft.

London Craft Beer Festival 2015at Oval Space, London.Black beer with an brownish head. Chocolate, vanilla, malty, caramell and coffee aroma. Simlar flavour with some nice orange hints. Lovely beer :-)

Grand Marnier nose, pours black with a firm beige head, taste of chocolate and orange peel. Too heavy liquor taste, more of a praline filling than a beer...

3.8
zimbo (980) - SCOTLAND - MAY 1, 2015
Complex nose of roast, meal damp stone and sweetness. Thick body, molasses, deep and instense and good but lacks that complexity you might expect from a great beer. Silky in the body but head is not sustained.Pleasing mouthful but in the end there is just too much liquorice in there for me.

Deep coffee aroma. Malty, rich and deep aromas and flavours. Very dark black. Very syrupy. Tastes like a honey beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
