180 day aged Bourbon Barrel version of Bearded Lady Imperial Brown Stout....
Say hello to the Bearded Lady, our uncompromisingly big and beautiful Imperial Stout. Born from our Dark Arts recipe she uses masses of magical malts to deliver deep chocolate, rich coffee and vinous berry flavours all complemented by a balanced yet subtly spicy hop profile. Powerful, robust, intriguing; yet decadently smooth and sumptuous, the lady demands respect

Keg at North Bar, Leeds. Pours a brownish black, small brown head. Aroma is wonderful - chocolate, coffee, hop spice and plenty of bourbon and vanilla. Taste is similar, lovely roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, whack of bourbon, but the interplay with the beer is really nice - the bourbons not too overpowering, its just right. Long coffee bitterness to finish. Seriously good.

Bottle as my #8000 rating. 2013 edition. It pours opaque black with a dense creamy beige head. Lots of berries and chocolate in the nose along with sweet roasted malt, vanilla and oak. Roasted flavor with chocolate, oak and vanilla. Light tar and berries. Very nice balance. Creamy texture. Long roasted finish.
