Bottle at home, cask and keg at Sheffield Tap 20/07/11. Plenty of hot punch fruitbowl action going on but the citrics get rather flighty. Needs nailing to firmer backbone. dantheman278 (1365) - SCOTLAND - JUL 21, 2011
Quick rate off a cheeky sample bottle at work. Clear yellow with amber tinge. Small white head. Nose is floral rather than big citrus - lychee, rose petals, hint of orange. Palate is slightly candied with a hint of caramel, matched with a big, refreshing, hop-heavy, resinous finish. Nice mouth-puckering bitterness. Very moreish, very drinkable for 7.4%! Beautiful. UPDATED: MAY 25, 2012 On tap at Magic Rock launch night at North Bar, Leeds. Pours bright yellow, small white head. Very bright, fruity citrus aroma with a sort of passionfruit, grapefruit notes. Taste is hoppy, but very sweet, lots of candy in this, but still maintaining a crisp taste and feel. Fairly refreshing. Nicer than High Wire in my opinion.
UPDATE: Re-rated 26/05/12 - enjoy it a lot more now than I did at first tasting - rating adjusted to reflect that. wavers1 (916) - Notown, California, USA - JUL 8, 2011
another great fresh as hell hoppy brew, terrific treat here! pours bright orange copper with some spotting. very similar to the highwire in a lot of ways, lots of candied citrus, sweeter aftertaste, a lil thicker and more syrupy, lingers a bit longer is is not quite as refreshing. i would say that they highwire eeks out a lil better than this one, but they are both well done beers. Thanks Craig for sharing this bottle. Had this alongside the High Wire and Rapture. An intensely yellow beer with a thin white head. Aromas of passionfruit, lemons and yeast and flavours of passionfruit, honeydew melon and mango. Still a little thin for me but very nice. Some yeast flavour also. Well masked alcohol. I preferred the High Wire myself.

On tap at Craft Beer. Hazy amber beer, small white head. Nice nose with touches of Nelson and Citra hop. Soft smooth palate. Creamy malt with nice hop flavours of rich orange and tropical fruity. Finishes soft and semi dry. This is good stuff - I could have taken this for a Kernel beer and I can think of no higher praise for an English brewed IPA. Original rating 3.8.

On tap at Old Fountain after an evening drinking some excellent beers at Brewdog Camden - Magic Rock held their own with Cannonball. This time it was the depth of the fruity hops that really got me - so rich and with real prescence. This is a great beer!
Keg at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell, London. A hazy golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, tropical fruit aroma. Tastes hoppy, tropical fruit, citrus fruit, slightly musty taste. Different. Scopey (16779) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 1, 2011
Keg at Craft Beer Co. It pours hazy orange-yellow, with thin foamy white head and soft carboantion. The nose is orange, mango, apricot, grapfruit, lime, cheese and salt. The taste is mango, tangy orange, apricot, lemon, lime, marmalade, pine, alcohol warmth, grass, hay and salt, with a light bitter finish. A decent fruity IPA. harrisoni (19863) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUN 29, 2011
On tap at Craft Beer Co. Hazy gold. Pink grapefruit aroma. Bit of butter on finish. Rather a decent pink grapefruit beer. Lacks a but of the fullness in the mouth but has a sherbert sweetness I just not too keen on. Ok.
