COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cannonball is an India Pale Ale in the true tradition, high in alcohol and massively hopped to survive a long sea voyage. We don’ t want you to wait though, crack the cap and let the flavour explode on your palate. Tropically fruity, resinous hops compete against a sweet malty backbone, while a rasping bitterness builds to a mouth puckering crescendo. Our hop bomb might just blow you away…

Draft. Apple, berry, biscuit aroma but very faint. Deep gold with quickly dissipating head. Fruity, yeasty, boozy... bit smoky too. Interesting and good.

BB 20/08/17. Poured a slightly hazy yellow with a one-to two-finger off-white foamy head that retained well and laced OK. Quite a bit of small off-white flakes slowly settled out. Carbonation moderate, slow and medium to coarse. Aroma there upon opening of nice moderately strong pine and fresh grapefruit complemented by other sweet citrus; very fruity. Taste with lots of pine and grapefruit with moderately sweet citrus; very fruity and fresh; has a nice moderate to strong hops bite; well balanced; alcohol well hidden. Light body. Crisp, refreshing and slightly dry with slight sweetness then slight grapefruit bitterness on a lingering finish. Very nice.

0,33l can. Pours hazy orange with medium sized white head. Citrus, pine, peach, yeast! Long bitter finish. One of the best IPA’s I have tasted.

Soild Beer. Great Aroma. Nice head retention and persistence of the finish. Pretty well balanced to have 7,4% ABV.

Can from Westhill Service Station. Pours hazy peachy orange with a thin white head. A nice soft peach nose over a tangy orange citrus. The flavour unleashes a tidal wave of resinous hop bitterness that washes away the citrus front. It has a soft body with a light but sharp sparkle. If big hop beers are your thing this is one of the nicest I’ve had.

Can from Hippo Beers, Glasgow. Beer served in 7°C, Duvel Glass. Pours cloudy orange, slightly amber, little head. Aroma is juicy and spicy, with mango notes, tropical fruits, banana, bubble gum, peach, grapefruit, spruce and tree resin. Intense fruity flavor with grapefruit dominance, sweet malty, quite bitter, spices and peppers in the aftertaste, unfortunately with some metallic and iron taste. Powdery and oily texture. Not bad.

Can from Bridgend Services, Freuchie. Pours with lots of suspended haze after a really careful pour. A light amber gold in colour. Has a tight, thin white head. Lots of resin. Lots of mango. Some pineapple. Some ripe stone fruit. A little strawberry candy sweetness. Grapefruit and other background citrus oils. Taste has a brief biscuit malt sweetness. Tangy citrus and a light musky tropical note. A pronounced pithiness. A whack of drying bitterness. None of this soft juiciness that is so much more common these days. Lasting bitter finish. A real oily palate. Really solid, resinous, more West than Eastside IPA with Northern grit. Nice to drink a core offering from Magic Rock for the first time in quite a while. Excellent

Good IPA - not my absolute favorite, but fine. Typical England IPA. Not comparable to US West Coast IPAs... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
