COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cannonball is an India Pale Ale in the true tradition, high in alcohol and massively hopped to survive a long sea voyage. We don’ t want you to wait though, crack the cap and let the flavour explode on your palate. Tropically fruity, resinous hops compete against a sweet malty backbone, while a rasping bitterness builds to a mouth puckering crescendo. Our hop bomb might just blow you away…

Tap at S&A - strange brew - hoppy nose promised lots - kinda sour taste - not the expected sweet mat/hop bomb - surprising light body - interesting for one drink - just a bit too weird for me.

Frisch vom Hahn im Muted Horn. Fast klares Gold mit weißer Schaumdecke im Glas. Fast strenge Aromen überreifer Tropenfrüchte. Die Bitterkeit, die man erwartet ist relativ schnell weg.

(330 ml can) Pours a cloudy orange beer, with specks of yeast in the class, vigorous fine carbonation, and a dense white head. A pleasant and punchy aroma of fruit: orange, lemon peel, grapefruit, mango, apricot kernel, apricot pulp, physalis, and an underlying funk. This is accompanied by a subtle caramel malt, that keeps the beer balanced, but lets the hop aromas shine. There’s a little alcohol on the nose, but it’s pleasantly warming. The effervescence pushes the beer around in the mouth, coating the palate. This is a superbly fruity IPA - balanced, and yet brashly bitter. Went down a treat with The Broadway, at Annie’s Burger Shack, Nottingham.

[330ml can] Pours slightly cloudy golden orange color with an off-white frothy head that settles quick. Aroma of tropical fruit, citrus and pine/resin. Taste is citrusy and resinous. I think that resinous and piney flavors tend to be overpowering most of the time, but this is balanced quite well! Hop oil texture, medium carbonation, medium body.

BB 20/08/17. Poured a slightly hazy yellow with a one-to two-finger off-white foamy head that retained well and laced OK. Quite a bit of small off-white flakes slowly settled out. Carbonation moderate, slow and medium to coarse. Aroma there upon opening of nice moderately strong pine and fresh grapefruit complemented by other sweet citrus; very fruity. Taste with lots of pine and grapefruit with moderately sweet citrus; very fruity and fresh; has a nice moderate to strong hops bite; well balanced; alcohol well hidden. Light body. Crisp, refreshing and slightly dry with slight sweetness then slight grapefruit bitterness on a lingering finish. Very nice.

0,33l can. Pours hazy orange with medium sized white head. Citrus, pine, peach, yeast! Long bitter finish. One of the best IPA’s I have tasted.
