Restrained aroma in a jet black pour. Impressive coffee cocoa flavour with hints of vanilla and licorice adding subtle complexity. An excellent example of the style - but somewhat overshadowed by their "Common Grounds" (to my taste at least).

Appearance- pitch black, a 1-2 finger beige creamy head which lasts. Aroma- coffee, creamy milk chocolate, caramel, fudge cake, dark malts, vanilla, coffee cream. Taste- creamy milk chocolate, coffee, chocolate ice cream, sweet malts, bitter espresso, hint of vanilla sweetness. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Tasty stout.

330ml can from Brewdog shop. Thick tan head, decent lacing. Dark near black body. Chocolate nose, creamy coffee, nuts, a little spice. Flavour is rich chocolate, dark berries, cream, a little spice, gentle bitter aftertaste. Light carbonation, smooth creamy mouthfeel, good body. This is a cracking stout, slips down so easily.

Black pour with a decent tan head. Roasty, coffee aromas dominate, a little ash. Bitter, ashy taste, roasty, coffee, a little chocolate, bitter coffee on the finish. As it warms up theres a bit of berry - definitely started off a bit too cold with this one

Black color with a beige head, good duration. Aroma has roasted notes with a high presence of coffee beans. Flavor is slightly bittery, roasty, some ashes are also present with licorice and coffee aftertaste. Smoothy final with light bitterness.

Dark brown color with tan head. Aroma has dark, roasted malts, slightly smokey, with a touch of dark chocolate. Taste follows, roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee. Quite balanced overall, starts malty but finishes quite bitter and roasty with a touch of hops. Medium body and carbonation. Overall its a legit robust stout, tasty and easy to drink.

Svart med fingerhyt beige skum. Lukter kaffe, kandis og noe brent karamell. Middels til fyldig. Stlig, lett bitter mrk sjokolade og kaffe. Middels lang.

Surreal stout by Magic Rock, from a craft can. Pale greyish beige, medium thick, lacing, moussy and dense head over a jet black beer with mahogany edges. Aroma of cured meat, beef broth, lots of black coffee or even espresso, cigar ashes, quite a lot of iron but nevertheless feeling natural, dried mediterranean herbs, black pepper, burnt cardboard, bitter chocolate, dried mushroom, nut shells. Clean onset, even a bit neutral at the start, a mixture of restrained dried mushroom-like umami, very basic dull sourishness and very subdued dried fruit sweetishness, with some minerally accents; carbo is softish. The beer begins to shine in the middle, when the malts open the palate with dry nutty and bitter toasted flavors, evolving into roasted bitterness with an ashy quality to it; finishes even drier than it began, as the roasted, cold black coffee-like bitterness and deep sourishness mingle with spicy hop bitterness yielding retronasal peppery aromas, pairing well with the umami flavor that keeps sitting on top of it all. Notably dry stout - Irish in a certain sense, rather straightforward, but technically flawless, accomplished and to the point. One for the true stouthead.

Sebilinz (2118) - Linz, AUSTRIA - JUN 3, 2016
Can. Dark brown nearly black body with tan head. Aroma is floral, coffee, caramel and roasted malts with red fruits mostly raspberries in the background. Taste is not as complex, roasted malts, coffee some sour fruits and hints of ash. Aftertaste is nice balanced between roasted malts bitterness and malty sweetness. Very nice stout.
