Dark Arts blends 4 malts and bags of whole hops to deliver a decadently deep and indulgent experience. A luxuriously smooth mouthfeel, is followed by spicy hop notes and full flavours of chocolate, liquorice, blackberries and figs. The finish is rich and satisfying with a lingering roasted bitterness. Our stout will convert you to the dark side.

Can, 330 ml. Pours very dark, opaque brown, with a finger or so of dark tan head and a bit of patchy lacing. Aroma is some hefty dark roasted malt, quite nutty, woody and with some underlying dark caramel sweetness and a hint of cocoa. Gets a little sweeter on the nose as it warms. Taste is bitter roasted malts, again a bit woody with some slight bourbon-y vanilla and smaller molasses note. More bitter than sweet, sometimes a tad watery seeming. Finish is moderately bitter and dry. Body is light-medium and could be fuller. Texture is oily and carbonation is minimal. Decent enough but has some issues.

Black body with a large, creamy, tan, long-lived head that laces the glass well. Dry, malty and strong aroma of dark roasted malt, coffee, dust and ash. Strong flavour of dark roasted malt, coffee and... hey, there are lots of hops in here as well! This is pretty close to a BIPA! The dark roasted malt is the dominant element here for sure, but there are also lots of citrus and other fruity notes, and pine needles. Fun! Medium body, dry texture and moderate carbonation. Nice!

Can 33cl. Black with a brown head. Lots of coffee, chocolate and hasselnuts in the aroma. Taste is following the aroma. The beer could have more body. It is not thin, but more body would suit this beer. Very pleasant finish

Can from Bridgend Services, Freuchie. Pours very, very dark brown. Viscous. Thin but tight, light-tan head. Aroma that is smokey, savoury and roasty......but with a lovely herbal hoppiness providing a little support. Coffee. Oxo stock cube. Hint of toasted coconut. Taste has light latte notes. A touch of vanilla ice cream. Burnt ginger bread. A little citrus...lemon, grapefruit. Really smooth. Fairly full mouthfeel. Creamy carbonation. Bit sherberty too. Burnt finish. Bitterness has real length. Alcohol is well hidden. Excellent stout.
