COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
High Wire is our tribute to the Pale Ales of the West Coast of America, beers unapologetically hop forward in character. Let your taste buds walk this test of balance. Mango, lychee and lip-smacking grapefruit flavours harmonise against a smoothly composed malt base, which develops into a crisply bitter finish. Are you ready for our tightrope of taste. .?

33cl can at The Mash Tun, Edinburgh on 31-May-2017 - poured into a snifter. Hazy pale amber colour with a medium sized white head. Medium body and carbonation. Aroma of citrus, hops and grapefruit. Fruity and bittersweet. Refreshing, crisp tasting and a well balanced APA.

(330 ml can) Pours a beautiful, hazy orange beer, with fine carbonation, and a fluffy white head. The aroma is hugely hoppy: grapefruit, lemon, pine needles, grass, apricot kernel, and peach. This is backed by a subtle caramel malt, fresh honey comb, mineral water, and a big bunch of medicinal herbs. This is a properly bitter pale ale. The body is a little lacking, the malt base could be stronger, and the medicinal notes become a little overwhelming. Nonetheless, this is a fine punchy beer, and delivers a dry bitter smack across the chops.

Nice balanced bitter, with a strong bite and also a freshness and softness. But tangier than most Pale Ales around there. Best drank very very cold.

rodsquad (380) - Aberdeen, SCOTLAND - MAY 20, 2017
Can from Westhill Service Station. Pours cloudy peach gold with barely there white head. Aroma has citrus zest and nettle earthiness. There’s a nice syrupy malt base underneath. Taste has orange and pine big. The pine edge flows into an earthy bitterness at the tail. It has a light body with a soft finish. The sparkle is sharp moderate. An ale that sits proudly in the big pine and citrus camp. Bold, fresh and very nice.
