COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
High Wire is our tribute to the Pale Ales of the West Coast of America, beers unapologetically hop forward in character. Let your taste buds walk this test of balance. Mango, lychee and lip-smacking grapefruit flavours harmonise against a smoothly composed malt base, which develops into a crisply bitter finish. Are you ready for our tightrope of taste. .?

Cask @ OT. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. This ones all about the hops! Grape and orange notes at first. Gooseberries and currant seed notes in the aftertaste. Quite bitter. Floural smoothness.

Aroma is grassy and hoppy and very "bright". Theres a light cheese note in here as well that makes me wonder a bit? Taste is pale malty with light pine, grapefruits and a very "lemony" character. In the aftertaste, besides the bitterness, you get an almost herbal kinda flavor that is a bit out of character. I wouldnt say that its odd, but its very different from other Pale Ales that has passed my throat lately. Crisp, lemony and very "up there" in brightness.

Can from Brewcraft, drank at home w Matt. Pours a hazy beige-orange with a fine foamy white head. Smells of very smooth hop, almost pearly, lots of resin, light mango and citrus peel and moderate slightly musty hop, quite dry. Taste is a bit more empty, pretty resinous. Body is medium, slightly foamy. Very decent, esp. the nose, though I like the Grapefruit High Wire more.

Can from Brewcraft at home. Hazy orange pour thin white head. Aroma is super resinous and inviting. Taste is a bit more empty and doesnt deliver as much. Not bad at all but grapefruit version is better.

Can 33 cl. Pours a cloudy golden with a white head. Strange, flawed aroma, salty and mousy - no hop freshness (BB 180117). Light body, chalky, very bitter, but again this salty, cheesy edge to it. Very unpleasant and certainly not what youd expect from Magic Rock! 061216
