Bottle. Black with beige head. Massively hoppy nose. Flavour is also, enormously hoppy. Like a tropical swamp. Passion fruit, grapefruit and pineapple. Resinous. Mild roasty dark malt flavour permeates the hops. Inevitably bitter finish. A tidy beer. superflyguy (439) - Leeds, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 20, 2012

Alla spina all’IBF. Colore nero impenetrabile, shiuma fine e mediam persistente. Aromi molti intensi di frutta tropèicale, tostature leggere ma percettibile. Al palato corpo medio, alcool molto ben nascosto. sentori di frutta tropicale, molto fresca e beverina. R4N5H (1373) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 29, 2015
Draught at The Druggist, Singapore on 16-Oct-2015. Hazy brown colour with a thin tan coloured head. Aroma of citrus, floral hops and dark roasted malt. Flavour rich in tropical fruit, grapefruit, roasted malt and hops. Bitter dry finish. An excellent Black IPA. FaithHealer1 (358) - SCOTLAND - JAN 14, 2012
Bottle at North Bar, Leeds. Pours a deep black, finger of tan head that quickly dies. Aroma is classic black IPA, with a brilliant mango note and passion fruit. Taste is very bitter, hoppy and very nicely ashy. Resiny note just kicks at the end. Coffee finish.Particularly good for me, because Im not a big black IPA fan.

Keg at Cask pub and Kitchen, Pimlico, London. A black coloured pour with a very thin tan head on top. Hoppy, malty aroma. Tastes malty, hoppy, chocolate, distinct grapefruit taste in the background, slight bitterness. Rich and complex. Another quality brew from the excellent Magic Rock.

Bottle. Pours black with a big ol’ tan head. The nose is a bit spicy, plenty of wood, grassy hops, some bitter chocolate too. The taste is initially dry, a bit peppery, hoppy with hints of tropical fruits dipped in chocolate. The finish is long, flavorful. The body’s medium, the carbonation active. Overall, a very nice black IPA. Big_Dunc (35) - Glasgow, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 5, 2012
A dark ipa? An oxymoron if ever there was one.
A dark pitch black beer with a golden brown head. Feint fruity aroma and a deep hoppy flavour. A roasted coffee aftertaste from the dark malts makes this a really mind bogglingly interesting drink.

Bottle. Purple-tan medium head. Jet black body. Massive whiff of grapefruit and passionfruit. Some smokiness. Good amount of lasting bitterness which leads to a dry finish. Decent amount of body. SaintMatty (7603) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - APR 17, 2012
