COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Black IPA fuses speciality malts with a tropical punch bowl of new world hops to deliver a contradictory yet cultured concoction. A classically pale aroma and quenchingly fruity palate belies a broodingly dark and deceptive appearance. Can a beer be both black and pale? Time to consult the Magic 8 Ball.

Keg at Brewdog Glasgow. Great hop profile on the nose and a rich fruity bite in the mouth. The smoky malt at the back coupled with the fruit makes for an interesting and drinkable beer. My favourite of the current Magic Rock brews.

On tap @ CASK Pub & Kitchen, London. This is a deep dark brown one with a lacing light ashy head. It really has lots of coffee beans on the aroma. Chocolate and cocoa also, but the coffee beans is dominating. Really good flavors here! Light roasted with chocolate, bitter chocolate and some cold coffee. Feels well balanced and its quite easy and clean. Average carbonation, full-bodied. Tasty! 22.07.2012

On tap at CPK, London. It pours black as night with a small beige head. Aroma of hops and roasted malt. Grapefruit and wood. Taste is bitter with roasty woody notes and hoppy bitterness. Grapefruit and citrus zest.mouthfeel is medium with lively carbonation. Overall, delicious. This is what a BIPA should be about.
