On tap at Euston Tap, pours a cloudy amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of resinous hops, followed by a dry caramel bready malt. Flavour is very balanced between hoppy and malty, with strong resinous hops upfront followed by a dry bready caramel malt backing. Robust and flavourful with a dry palate. Excellent red ale.

Draught, 4.6%. Fruity aroma, mild and roasted. Cloudy brown colour. Stable off-white head. The flavour is roasted and nicely hoppy. Clean and rough hoppiness. Not a symphony of flavour, but unpretentious and well-made.

Cask conditioned at Harbury Beer Fest 11. Hazed reddish amber with slight head. Full on fruity, hoppy, citrusy beer, there is a decent malty bittersweet body delivering some lovely hoppy flavours, grapefruit and lemon to the fore. A very pleasant beer and my beer of this festival.

Scopey (13343) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 3, 2011
Cask at CP&K. It pours clear amber, with a large foamy beige head and soft carbonation. The nose is wood, smoke, orange, nut and some caramel sweetness. The taste is roasted malt, brown bread, wood, smoke, burnt malt, bitter chocolate, nut and astringency, with a long bitter-woody finish. A tasty hoppy red ale.
