Can consumed at home in March 2016.
AROMA: Fresh, clean and piney.
APPEARANCE: A cloudy deep red with an amber hue. A sustainable white fluffy head and decent carbonation. Head retains to about 1cm depth for quite some time.
TASTE: Hoppy, bitter, well balanced. Nice clean water profile on the tip on my tongue. Not much sweetness.
PALATE: Oily, smooth, slick, low carb on tongue, long lasting bitterness.
OVERALL: An enjoyable red ale with plenty of hops and a nice full bodied malt back bone which allows the hops plenty of room to take centre stage. I really like this brewery. weordie (1184) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - MAR 29, 2016
Pours red with a big foamy head. The aroma is sweet berries. A lovely sweet berry flavour is balanced out by a slight bitter finish, it’s a bit like a black IPA taste. Towey1989 (2819) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 1, 2016
Cask at The Holy Inadequate, Etruria. A clear amber colour with a medium off white head. Aroma of peach, red berries, pine, some grapefruit, slight caramel and grassy hops. Taste of peach, grapefruit, red berries, some orange, slight pine, a little papaya, a hint of caramel, subtle toasted malts and earthy, grassy hops. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A dry, fruity, earthy, resinous hop bitterness in the finish. Probably the best cask amber Ale you can get, every flavour available from malts, citrus, fruit, pine and earthy hops. Great.
