Deep hazy caramel colour with thick fluffy wippy white head. Low crab start until the mid palate when the tequila grip cuts in and clings and burrs till the long end. Bitter tropical fruits in there too. When it ends it ends with a final cut of neutrality. Another winner from the Magic Rock range.

Tap at bat. Cloudy amber with thin white head. Fruity resinous aroma, something that must be the tequila. Taste has lots of resinous hops and caramel, the tequila is definitely adding something that Im enjoying. Oily texture with a bitter finish. Really liking this.

Certainly one of the bigger beers I tried on my visits to Craft Beer Co, and it was moderately successful. Handsome pour for sure, with a bright buoyant orange appearance that had some pink grapefruit hues as well. Nice fluffy head. Strong tropical fruit in the nose, with a sharpness thats not just from the booze but also from something a bit raw and herbal. Flavors are occasionally just a bit too much on the sweet side, and the tequila heat - while it complements the fruity profile far more than, say, bourbon would - makes it just a bit too much at times. Still enjoyable but not especially balanced.

Woh - weird. Smelt mainly of hops - simco peach flesh. But the taste is a horrible tequila mess. Weird, but not wonderful. Did not want it in my mouth.

Keg at North Bar, Leeds. Pours a nice hazy amber, finger of head. Aroma is hoppy citrus/tropical/floral goodness, with oaky vanilla and tequila nestled in nicely. Maybe a hint of lime, though that may just be implied by the tequila. Taste is similar - great Cannonball hop punch, but slightly mellowed (probably due to the aging), and blended perfectly with the tequila and oak characters. Medium bodied, dry finish. This could so easily have been overdone or too underplayed, but The Rock have got this one just right. Another beauty from Huddersfield.

On keg at The Craft Beer Co. Pours a dark golden amber colour with a fair white head. Aroma of pine, pineapple, caramel, tequila and oak. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Mildly bitter and nicely dry to finish.

On tap at the King William IV - Witterfest. Hazy amber beer, little white head. Palate is light and a little dry. Orangey hops with a mellow tequila back drop - floral and a little limey, Mild dry wood. Finishes with a little spice. The hops seem slightly suppressed for Cannonball but the Tequila Barreling is well mannered making for a very interesting and drinkable beer.

Keg at Craft, London. Pours cloudy orange with a fine, white cream head. Aroma holds a lot of dry orange, some pine and other rindy citrus. Medium sweet flavor with lots of fruit sugars, loads of ripe and dry citrus, some dry wood, grassy bitterness, some oily pine. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with a fair bit of resinous hops, lots of pine and grass, some toasty pales malts, dry wood, ripe orange, mango, toasty sugars, light herbal hops. Wow, tons of nuance in here. The barrel aging seems to have added some lovely accents to the base beer. Well done.
