Cask, special
This time we’ve made a beer to celebrate one of the greatest double acts know to man/woman... Bikes & Beer!
As you might have heard in 2014 Leeds is hosting the Grand Depart of The Tour de France and we thought it’d be nice to mark the occasion with a super refreshing, extra fruity session pale ale.
We’ve given ourselves plenty of time to perfect the beer by launching it at this years Leeds International Beer Festival which starts next Thursday 5th September and is held at the site of next years official start to the Tour, Leeds Town Hall...
The beer is a 3.9% extra pale ale using golden promise malt and dry hopped with both English and US hops, it should be perfect re-hydration after a hard day on the bike!
If you’re wondering about the name...
"magic spanner The situation where a mechanic in a support vehicle will appear to be making adjustments to the bike but in reality they are giving fatigued riders a break by holding onto the car and getting a massive push-off when the commissaires get too close."

Restrained grassy floral aroma in a light gold pour. Hop forward balance with a light fruity body and an even lighter bitter finish.

Vighals (4347) - Sørumsand, NORWAY - JUN 12, 2017
Gulbrun klar med lavt hvitt skum. Lukter silo, noe ananas og fersken. Lett. Noe ubestemmelig fruktighet noe bitterhet. Kort.

jjsint (3429) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUN 7, 2017
Keg tap at the Kingston Arms, Cambridge. Yellow but not quite straw. Slightly hazy with a thin white head. Pink grapefruit and tangerine notes in the scent, but there’s a nice malty base. Bittersweet juicy taste. Fruity hops dominate but don’t run rampant. The all-too-short finish is more balanced. Nice little golden from a great UK brewery.

JohnRMurdoch (4999) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - MAY 16, 2017
Tap @ Drygate. Hazy yellow, not much head. Cereal grain aroma. Dry citrus fruit and biscuit flavour. Bitter citrusy aftertaste. Very good bitter golden ale.

Cask. Taste is lightly tropical hops, malt caramel. Light with a dry finish. It’s a solid session beer but I’ll never love it
