COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Stooge is a low ABV American Brown Ale, packed with loads of speciality malts, brewed with a mixture of UK & US hops and dry hopped with lovely US Cascade hops. Sort of like a lower ABV version of the beer we brewed with Dark Star ‘Rock Star’, but with a completely different recipe.

Draft glass @ Beerlovers Bar. Dark very hazy brown, big creamy deeply tanned head. Nose is mellow rye bread, very herbal bitter dry, dried out, very dry spices, faint metal, low coffee,... Very odd taste & body, massively bitter herbal, very dry bitter & quite empty with strange old dark spices, chicory coffee, cascara, very dry, empty, herbal, faint dark bread,... Strange, hollow & not really my thing.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Hazy dark brown colour, moderate off-white to beige head. Pleasant aroma of malts, hints of caramel and berries, some fruity hops. The flavour is mid between dry and sweet, moderate malts and fairly distinct piney and fruity hops. Not bad for a 4% beer.

Keg, Piccadilly Tap, MAN, 20/01/16. Pisswatter after a BIPA but still a good brew. Reflective onyx, low dense tan head, nose of weathered timbers, beeswax, resin, slight dung and carob. Smooth and full with mocha and minstrels, some soapy blueberry fruit. Solid.
