COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We all need a bit of variety and thats why we came up with the idea for Magners Pear. Of course, we like to do things properly and dont mind taking our time about it, so unlike some Pear cider, the only fruit that goes into ours is pears.

And of course, youll only find 100% premium quality pears in Magners Pear, which we filter to get rid of any impurities before fermenting slowly.

Thats what makes Magners Pear so fresh, fruity and full of flavor. So next time youre out and wanting a bit of a change, pour a Magners Pear, sit back and enjoy.

GoufCustom (1705) - HONG KONG - MAY 28, 2014

330 ml bottle bought at Wellcome Superstore in Sheung Shui.

Very pale greenish yellow colour; Half finger head and residual soapy white foam which fades in 5 seconds; No lacing with active carbonation; Sweet and slightly tart aroma of dry white wine, with yoghurt, strong tannic, wood and light musty; Light sweet taste of juicy light pear wine, with faint pear flesh, light tartness, quite strong carbo, and notes of mustyness; Light body, very watery palate; Mouth feel is very thinned and watered down pear juice with faint wineyness and soggy pear taste, permeated with light tart notes and not much else, Thin as hell. Blah!... Slightly dry after taste. Very easy to mouth.

Comments: This one has promising tart and tannic aroma, but the thin body and water-like taste simply drag it right down. Taste like pear water, a real downer.

Can from Centra, Mohill [240514] (Bulmers Pear Cider)
Extremely light lime green water, no head
Aroma - Soft sweet pear fruit
Taste - Soft sweet pear, soft sugar syrup, light flavour, very simple, not as artificial as expected, alcopop
Palate - Medium carb, light body, very sweet. Finish as main flavour, sweet.
Overall - Much better than those horrible pear drop Kopperberg ciders. Is too sweet through. Expected this to be terrible but wasnt too bad actually, although I wouldnt get it again

11.2oz bottle, thanks to Scott. Best before 09/2014. Totally clear, nearly translucent pale yellow color. Couple bubbly bits of white head, no lace sticks. Smooth, crisp, lighter carbonation. Lightly slick. Light to medium body. Good bright pear aroma to it. Nice juicy pear flavors. Moderate sweet taste. Solid, tasty light pear cider. Not much to it, but nothing really bad about it. Cant really knock it.
