We all need a bit of variety and that’s why we came up with the idea for Magner’s Pear. Of course, we like to do things properly and don’t mind taking our time about it, so unlike some Pear cider, the only fruit that goes into ours is pears.

And of course, you’ll only find 100% premium quality pears in Magners Pear, which we filter to get rid of any impurities before fermenting slowly.

That’s what makes Magners Pear so fresh, fruity and full of flavor. So next time you’re out and wanting a bit of a change, pour a Magners Pear, sit back and enjoy.

crossovert (12613) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 29, 2014
355ml green bottle. Super pale clear pour. Tangy and fruity pear scent, honestly not the worst. Flavor is way too sweet, some caramel pear character. Not good.

Marduk (7578) - Reval, ESTONIA - JUL 26, 2014

jaghana (6009) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - JUN 24, 2014
Bottle 33cl, a clear pale yellow cider without head. Nose is on old over ripped apple. Aroma is on sweet ans acid old apple juice, pear skin notes, moist notes at the finish, poor.

renffisch (891) - london, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 22, 2014
Bottle at Gangleys, Morden. Very light yellow in colour with a green tinge. Terribly sweetener and fake pear nite with a hint of sulphur... Quite awful

jake65 (3592) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - JUN 16, 2014
Bottle. Clear, faint yellow pour with lots of bubbles and no head. Faint nose, mostly pear. Tastes OK. Sweet and hints at artificial pear, but OK. Sweet finish.

MiP (15650) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JUN 3, 2014

GoufCustom (1976) - HONG KONG - MAY 28, 2014

330 ml bottle bought at Wellcome Superstore in Sheung Shui.

Very pale greenish yellow colour; Half finger head and residual soapy white foam which fades in 5 seconds; No lacing with active carbonation; Sweet and slightly tart aroma of dry white wine, with yoghurt, strong tannic, wood and light musty; Light sweet taste of juicy light pear wine, with faint pear flesh, light tartness, quite strong carbo, and notes of mustyness; Light body, very watery palate; Mouth feel is very thinned and watered down pear juice with faint wineyness and soggy pear taste, permeated with light tart notes and not much else, Thin as hell. Blah!... Slightly dry after taste. Very easy to mouth.

Comments: This one has promising tart and tannic aroma, but the thin body and water-like taste simply drag it right down. Taste like pear water, a real downer.

yespr (44698) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - MAY 24, 2014
50 cl clear bottle. Pours pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is crisp perry, fruity and mild citric. Sweet, lingering fruity and crisp citric into the finish.

stravale (3055) - Near Carrick-on-Shannon, IRELAND - MAY 24, 2014
Can from Centra, Mohill [240514] (Bulmers Pear Cider)
Extremely light lime green water, no head
Aroma - Soft sweet pear fruit
Taste - Soft sweet pear, soft sugar syrup, light flavour, very simple, not as artificial as expected, alcopop
Palate - Medium carb, light body, very sweet. Finish as main flavour, sweet.
Overall - Much better than those horrible pear drop Kopperberg ciders. Is too sweet through. Expected this to be terrible but wasn’t too bad actually, although I wouldn’t get it again
