COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We all need a bit of variety and that’s why we came up with the idea for Magner’s Pear. Of course, we like to do things properly and don’t mind taking our time about it, so unlike some Pear cider, the only fruit that goes into ours is pears.

And of course, you’ll only find 100% premium quality pears in Magners Pear, which we filter to get rid of any impurities before fermenting slowly.

That’s what makes Magners Pear so fresh, fruity and full of flavor. So next time you’re out and wanting a bit of a change, pour a Magners Pear, sit back and enjoy.

Clear light green with small white foam ring. Small pear aroma, small pear taste. Quite sweet actually. Short aftertaste. (Leeds 201402) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma - sweet white fleshed fruit aroma, apples pears Appearance - Clean clear color, with no head to speak of. Some faint bubbles around the edges. Taste - rather dry sweetness, again with sweet white fleshed fruit taste of pear Palate - body is light, texture thin, carbonation fizzy on the palate, and abrupt in the finish. Poor cider.

A lot better than the apple equivalent, better body and less off flavours present.

danlo (3083) - Darlington, Durham, ENGLAND - JAN 8, 2014
568ml bottle. Clear watery very pale yellow colour, frothy white foam head that diminishes and aroma of pear, cider. Sweetish pear flavour, fruity with some tartness. Slightly oily mouthfeel, light bodied, high carbonation, watery finish. OK.

I’m not a fan of Magner’s apple cider so it really wasn’t much of a surprise to find this isn’t to my taste either. Very sugary with an artificial pear taste (even though it claims to have no artificial flavouring). Very much like a cheap, supermarket own brand perry rather than a cider. The taste is sticky and sweet with no acidity or bitterness to cut through the sugar. Got this as part of a gift set and unlikely to be on my shopping list ever again.

Bottle from Bert’s Picked up on a whim. Pours the lightest of straw with a dismal head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of apple, pear, and sulfur. Flavor isn’t much better. Medium to light body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet slick mouthfeel. Drinkable but not a whole lot different than a macro cider. One and done for me.

bulldogops (2702) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 30, 2013
Rating #868 - December 29, 2013 - 500mL Can from Coop. 6%. Clear, very pale yellow colour, weakly carbonated. Aroma is sweet pears. Taste is bubbly sweet, alcohol very well disguised, this could pass for juice. Not much to distinguish from other ciders/perries.

tricksta_p (4763) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - DEC 14, 2013
UPDATED: NOV 23, 2015 Pours a clear yellow/green with no head. Not much of an aroma, just sweet pear flavour and not even very potent at that. I expected more of a pear taste. This is very much like cheap champagne.
