We all need a bit of variety and that’s why we came up with the idea for Magner’s Pear. Of course, we like to do things properly and don’t mind taking our time about it, so unlike some Pear cider, the only fruit that goes into ours is pears.

And of course, you’ll only find 100% premium quality pears in Magners Pear, which we filter to get rid of any impurities before fermenting slowly.

That’s what makes Magners Pear so fresh, fruity and full of flavor. So next time you’re out and wanting a bit of a change, pour a Magners Pear, sit back and enjoy.

Pale golden pour. The aroma is bright and fruity. Light tannic earthiness and a lot of bright, simple sweet pear aroma. Nice enough.

Very sweet when it warms. Lots of pear. Not really for me. Bit of an alcopop in my opinion.

Can. Appearance: Yellow with a tinge of green, lots of visible carbonation. No head. Aroma: Synthetic/candy pear drop aroma, sweet, nothing else really. Flavour: Again with the synthetic/pear drop flavour, quite sweet and sickly. Very alco-pop like. My teeth are coating due to the sweetness.

Bottle from Sainsbury. No where near as horrific as I feared. Very pale green some sweetness. Light drinkable and I can see why people like this. Ok. Not hideous and no bad flavour. Just a touch sweet.

It’s cider. It’s pear flavoured. It’s pop like. Do yourself a favour -- if you drink cider go local. And make sure they actually use fruit.

[5169-20130327] 473mL can. Apple-y pear fruit aroma is fresh and clean. Clear, light yellow body with no lasting head. More fruity pear and pear skins in the flavour with a light but lingering sweet aftertaste. Light body. Surprisingly tasty and ideal for a summer patio, perhaps with bacon, but this does not speak beer to me. (6/2/6/3/10) 2.7

Shared 500ml can from Keynote local supermarket. Pale greenish yellow colour, reasonable head. Pear aroma. Sweet syrupy pear flavour. Sickly sweet aftertaste. More an alcopop.

Bottle from Four Firkins, pours like water, clear, no head. Aroma of light apple and pear. Taste is similar, with a syrup like artificial taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

this was really complete nothingness, could hardly taste anything at all. except maybe sugar. boring.

MrHangover (4693) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - MAY 20, 2013
Bottle, shared with girlfriend, who loved it. I did not. It pours a very pale, light green color without any head. Aroma is very faint, actually it’s less than faint. Flavor is also very faint, no pear detected. Just a slight artificial sweetness. This is not so good. Very watery mouthfeel, no finish.
