On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear cola brown with a thin tan head. Maple syrup on the nose, big brown sugar. Medium-bodied, soft roast, toast, a touch of molasses and brown sugar. Never picks up the sweetness the nose implied, which is a nice thing actually. Gentle bitterness into the finish, super easy drinking and loads of flavor for a beer under 4%. Nicely executed. Pours a really dark brown colour with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is of toast, a little nutty, with a slight vanilla-like scent. Taste is dry and malty sweet with a slight bitterness closer to the finish. Medium body, softer carbonation, and slightly creamy on the palate. 10 ounce sample on cask at the brewpub. The aroma has a really nice nuttiness, as well as some good toasted malt character. Lightly sweet, and nicely aromatic. Transparent mahogany body with a medium, bubbly light tan head. Good lacing. Starts with a flavorful toastiness, before a little light coffee character comes in the middle. Finishes with light astringency. Very easy-drinking.

On tap at the brewpub. Pour is deep brown with a frothy tan head and great lacing. Roast, cocoa, graham crackers, bread, lightly earthy, vanilla, and coffee in the aroma. Taste is roasty, bready, biscuity, grassy, graham cracker, and slightly herbal with a lightly roasted bitter finish. Medium body with high carbonation. On tap at the brewery. It pours a nice mahogany color, clear but dark with an off white head. The aroma has great notes of strong toffee, cocoa and toast. Kind of like a Heath bar without all the sweetness. The flavor is more toffee, toast, mild red berries, and a hint of mineral tartness and toastiness in the finish. Dry. A great session beer. Dark brown/light amber pour with a soapy off-white head. Coffee grounds and roasted malt on the nose. A hint of chocolate, some cocoa powder, and a bit of coffee grounds. The flavor is semi-sweet with some toffee and bread malt notes. Aroma is a bit light with roastiness, some peanuts, hints of coffee and licorice. Flavour has coffee and licorice with a dry, nutty finish. Smooth and a bit watery palate. Your typical Brown Ale.
