Clear amber pour with a tall off-white head. Nose is mostly bread and toasted malt. Light cracker note, floral hops, and a soft earthiness. Some hints of orange peel on the back end. Flavor is a bit more bitter than expected. A fair amount of citrus peel, some nice floral notes, and a more pronounced earth character. Still, mostly a bread and toasted malt flavor with a moderate sweetness. durhambeer (2585) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - NOV 10, 2012
Cask pint at the brewpub. My, what a lively carbonation for a cask-drawn beer. Creamy head atop a light amber body. Distinctly English hops and biscuity malt. Soft notes of peaches and other mild fruit tastes. I sort of gulped this down as they were playing Phish there and the Toronado was only a short walk away. Easy-drinking and tasty, though. danbierman (20) - California, USA - AUG 22, 2011
On tap at Magnolia. Pours a dark golden color with 1 finger creamy white head, after sipping leaves slight Belgian lacing. Smells of sweet hops. Tastes very smooth, slightly sweet, not as bitter as expected. Light bodied with a creamy finish. Overall a pleasant surprise from a man who knows how to make a good bitter.

On cask at the brewpub. Pours with a mostly clear copper body with a frothy and slowly fading white head. Aromas are bready, estery, lightly lemony, honey, light florals. Woody hop note. Flavors are bready and mildly nutty, slightly butter. Kind of watery. Some fruit esters. Minimal/light carbonation. Medium bodied, but finishes dry and a bit thin. A mineral (bicarbonate) bite in the finish.
A bit bland. ogiergrove (120) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - JAN 22, 2011
This was hands down one of the best cask bitters I have ever tasted. Nice cereal nose and honey color, with a pleasantly bright citrus hoppiness complementing the mild malt flavor bb (9789) - Alamo, California, USA - NOV 5, 2010
Draft. Shown as Billy Sunday’s Best Bitter (4.7%). Amber beer with an off-white head. Very bready aroma. Bready flavor with malt and light floral notes. Medium body. Malt and light caramel lingers with light grain and light floral tones.
