Very smooth stout. I'd call it more of a sweet stout than dry. Low-ish alcohol, so easy to drink, i recommend. Magnolia SF. Ratman197 (14680) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - JAN 1, 2016
On tap at Hops and Pie poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lingering ring of tan foam. Aromas of roasted malt, cocoa and lught coffee. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of roasted malt, bakers cocoa, earthiness and light coffee with a smooth dry lingering cocoa finish. mR_fr0g (11904) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 9, 2015
On tap at Smokestack. Opaque black coloured pour with a small mid tan head. Aroma is vanilla ice cream, cream caramel, earthy, strawberry, slightly odd. Flavour is composed of milky roast, lactose sugars, milk choc, earth, strawberry shortcake. Palate is milky, medium bodied. Semi sweet. Interesting sweet stout. Some wood and lingering fruity eaters. ajnepple (6428) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 19, 2015
On tap at Barrels & Bottles. Black appearance with a light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, lactose and a light oyster brininess. Similar flavor with a creamy, smooth feel. It kind of reminds me of beers in the foreign style stout category. Dogbrick (12921) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 5, 2015
Sample at GABF 09/26/2015, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. Inky black color with a medium thin beige head that recedes quickly. Sparse spotty lacing. Aroma of malt, coffee and slight hops. Light-bodied with flavors of toasted malt, mild coffee and earthy hops. The finish is roasty with a short malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draft at the source. Thin tan head on top the black liquid with much retention. Aroma is mild chocolate and hints of salty ocean. Lighter side of medium in body with a mild brine finish. The brine plays nicely with the deep chocolate malts. Nice depth of malt with a drying texture over the tongue. Tasty. yiannnos (1254) - , CYPRUS - AUG 8, 2014
On tap @ the brewpub. Black colour. Light bodied, roasted malts and coffee. adnielsen (10605) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUL 7, 2014
On tap @ the brewery during San Francisco 7/7/14 beer tour. Pours a deep reddish brown appearance with a dark brown head. Roasted coffee, milky, cream, coffee aroma. I suppose the oysters come through a lot more in the flavor. Dark chocolate. Roasted coffee. Earth. Drinks maybe better than anything here. kevinsenn (2180) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 23, 2014
On tap at Magnolia. Black with a thin tan head. Light aroma, roasty and sweet. Taste is very nice; roasty, creamy, sweet, brown sugar, light bitter finish. Medium-body, high carbonation. Nice. brokensail (16432) - Dublin, California, USA - FEB 22, 2013
Dark brown, maybe black, in color with a soapy tan head. Nose is a little bit briny/salty with a pretty decent roasted malt profile. Some earthy hops, coffee grounds, and a touch of butter. Roasted malt flavor, light bitterness, and coffee. Light butter, some salt, and chocolate.
