Draft. Brown/black beer with a tan head. Coffee, caramel, and sweet malt aroma. Chocolate, coffee, caramel, big molasses flavor. Medium bodied. Coffee, malt, caramel, and coffee linger with more molassess notes as it warms. Not bad. douglas88 (9418) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 5, 2016
On tap at apex. Pours a pure black color with a medium white head. A light sweet lactose milk nose. The flavor is big sweet cocoa, milky, light roast. Solid. drfabulous (8087) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - MAR 12, 2009
Enjoyable oatmeal stout with lots of cream and flavor. Rich and dark. The best of the night that we had at the brewpub. JaBier (8027) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - AUG 14, 2010
Sample at the brewpub on 8/4/10. Darkest brown/black pour with a medium tan head. Aroma is roasty to the point of ashy with not much else going on. Flavor is equally roasty and ashy with a bit of molasses sweetness in there too. BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAY 16, 2011
On tap. Pours with a large, foamy brown head that slowly collapses on itself. An opaque black body underneath with some sediment at the bottom of the glass. Aromas are roasty, caramel, diacetyl, coffee, iodine, and licorice. Flavors are of diacetyl, caramel, roast, vanilla, cola. Biscuit, coffee, a touch chalky and smokey in the finish. Pretty dry. Creamy to slightly lively carbonation. Medium dry, a bit chalky. Medium to full body.

no great surprise that the stout was the pick of this brewery´s beers. pleasant coffee aroma, light black, hint of molasses and golden syrup but not a lot of guts AirForceHops (7310) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - AUG 13, 2014
Draft at the Source. Aroma is malted milk balls (whoppers) with caramel. Flavor is again the Whoppers candy with a light bitter chocolate malt help balance the candy flavor. Im not sure what is a tad off with it. But other then the thinner body the bitterness is off setting. Not in a Black IPA kind of way either. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - OCT 3, 2009
Black with a creamy tan head. Mild chocolate and roasted grain aroma and taste. Fairly basic. duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 28, 2004
Tap, Magnolia Pub and brewery, San Fransisico. Nothing spesh. Standard roast and choc, medium bittreness, decent flavours, but perhaps a little too subtle. A bit short and thin. thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 3, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. Black with a creamy, light brown head. Chocolate nose followed by even more chocolate in the mouth. Hints of acidity. Very good.
