Black with huge brown head. Big malt nose. Hoppy dry malt flavor............ JCB (3999) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - OCT 23, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Really nice looking stout, big and oily, heading straining over the top of the English pint glass. Really dreamy roasted malt nose, with a light chocolate fadeout and a hint of char somewhere in there. Fine thick mouthfeel, hits the spot. Really tastes more like a dry stout, especially with the chalky finish, but the creamy, chocolatey flavors are there in abundance too, and satisfy regardless of how you categorize it. On tap at the brewpub. Pour is pitch black with a frothy brown head and great lacing. Roasty, chocolatey, vanilla, light earthiness, graham crackers, and light peaty aroma. Taste is dark cocoa, espresso, earthy roasted coffee, bready, toasty, and grassy with a roasted bitter finish. Medium body with soft carbonation. Pretty tasty stout. Draught at the brewpub. Opaque, black with a tan head. Smelled of coffee and anise. Dry on the tongue with a roasty flavor accented by dark chocolate. Roasty and bitter at the end.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours black with an off-white head. Outstanding and complex finish that I really can’t identify. Has all the requisite flavors of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. I drank this while eating Hama Oysters and it was awesome. chibuck (3521) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 11, 2011
Draft... Light oily black, light ring but not much head... Nose is too light, chocolatey notes, ok...the taste is much better bursting with flavor, coarse chocolate and cocoa, a light sweet. jeremytoni (3083) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - OCT 11, 2010
From the tap poured a dark brown color with a fair amount of head. Nice toasted malty flavor with a lingering aftertaste. pushkinwow (2897) - Ottawa, CANADA - JUL 9, 2011
