Draft at Magnolia Pub and Brewery in San Francisco. A very tasty and pleasant stout that left me surprised at the quality of ingredients and taste. Try it --- you’ll love it!

On tap at the brewery. Pours a deep brown to black with a thin tan head. Sweet roast, a hint of brown sugar and maple. Medium-bodied, soft roast, a hint of astringency, coffee, a light bitterness. Soft roast into the finish, coffee. Slow roast, cocoa. AirForceHops (7233) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - AUG 13, 2014
Draft at the Source. Aroma is malted milk balls (whoppers) with caramel. Flavor is again the Whoppers candy with a light bitter chocolate malt help balance the candy flavor. Im not sure what is a tad off with it. But other then the thinner body the bitterness is off setting. Not in a Black IPA kind of way either.

On tap at Magnolia, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out nice notes of roasted malt, oatmeal, and subtle coffee. Flavour brings out dry coffee grounds, oats, and roast. Nice and dry, with a roasty, oaty palate. Great stout. Steve_0 (3745) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 22, 2013
On tap at the brewpub. Pour is pitch black with a frothy brown head and great lacing. Roasty, chocolatey, vanilla, light earthiness, graham crackers, and light peaty aroma. Taste is dark cocoa, espresso, earthy roasted coffee, bready, toasty, and grassy with a roasted bitter finish. Medium body with soft carbonation. Pretty tasty stout. danbierman (20) - California, USA - AUG 22, 2011
On tap at Magnolia. Pours a black with a finger of creamy tan head. Light lacing stays on the glass. Smells of roasted malts and coffee. Flavor confirms the nose, lots of roasted malts and a strong coffee flavor. Medium bodied stout with a nice creamy finish, leaves the flavor on my tongue that I’m looking for in a good stout. Overall a very impressive stout from a relatively unknown brewery, rivals Beer Geek Breakfast as one of my favorites. If ever in San Francisco, stop by Magnolia and try this beer. chibuck (3513) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 11, 2011
Draft... Light oily black, light ring but not much head... Nose is too light, chocolatey notes, ok...the taste is much better bursting with flavor, coarse chocolate and cocoa, a light sweet. pushkinwow (2789) - Ottawa, CANADA - JUL 9, 2011
