On tap at the Haigh Street brewpub. Thanks to Bobby. Mostly clear golden / yellow coloured pour. Aroma is nice zesty citrus, floral, pollen, perfume citrus. Flavour is composed of grainy Base malts, heather and zesty lemon, honey. Palate is crisp, highish carbonation, some sticky hop. Good IPA. joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - DEC 2, 2012
On tap at the brewery. It pours light gold with an off white head. The aroma is dank and grassy with some mango and pineapple. Nice. The flavor is strongly bitter with dankness and ink. There’s some sweeter peach, orange and mango to balance it out a bit. A little peppery in the finish. Pretty good as Belgian IPA’s go. ngeunit1 (1555) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 22, 2012
A - Served a clear red-orange with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades at a normal pace leaving behind some lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of citrus hops with some fruity esters. There is also some Belgian yeasts, some sweet caramel malts, and a touch of bread.
T - Starts off with a mix of sweet caramel malts with some citrus hops and a bit of bitterness. Through the middle some yeast comes through with a bit of breadiness. The finish is a mix of fruity esters with some light citrus hops and some sweet caramel malts.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a nice sweet and slightly dry finish.
D - Very drinkable. Nice balance of American and traditional Belgian elements. Feels very crisp. JCB (3999) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAR 5, 2012
On tap at The Alembic, SF. Shishito peps were killing me at this point, and the Dark Star wasn’t cutting it. Fairly clear gold pour, with a bright carbonation and a thin film of bubbles. Nose of ripe yeast, some spice, and trace of hops amidst the otherwise sweet notes. Body is a bit slick, could use more liveliness. Malty and sweet for the most part, the brew achieves enough of a balance courtesy of the spice and hops in the finish. Just short of completely satisfying though. On tap at the brewpub. Pours with a clear golden body and a medium sized white head. Aroma is citrus hoppy with some belgian esters and a hint of windex. Flavors of citrus, windex and pine. Not the best Belgian IPA that I’ve had.

A: The pour is a clear golden color with a finger or so worth of white head.
S: Quite spicy on the nose. Lots of Belgian yeast esters along with a sweet bready background and some citrus. There’s a bit of an off aroma to it that I cannot quite articulate.
T: A fairly bitter beginning to the glass, which begins to mellow out a bit as it warms. Lots of orange peel, coriander, and perhaps some floral notes too. A moderate spiciness and a sweet malt base.
M: The body is medium with a moderate level of carbonation.
D: No idea what this beer really was (of course there’s no description of it anywhere). Wasn’t the biggest fan of this one, but it wasn’t horrendous either.
