3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark brown color, virtually black. Medium sized khaki head. Aromas were a little weak but consisted of dark chocolate, cocoa and toast. Flavors are much of the same but a little stronger. Finishes with a slight bitterness. A good beer. It’s always nice to see another decent microbrewery in Korea.
Seems they changed the recepture, cuz my beer under the same name - Porter, was described as a robust porter, and had 5.5 abv. Dark seal color, non transparent. Tiny beige head. Nice lacing. In aroma coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malts. Very solid, very pleasant aroma. In taste is on the others hand a little bit less than you might expect. The same notes but bit less intense. The body is also smaller and lighter than robust porter should have in my mind. I wouldn’t put robust in front of the style name of this beer, but it still is worth to try strap (944) - Sindelfingen, GERMANY - FEB 1, 2015
dark and roasty. i enjoyed this beer when they first started brewing it, but the quality morphed over time. it became a bit watery and had some off flavors. unfortunate. sy1076 (7) - - JAN 5, 2015 does not count
On tap at Magpie Brewing Company. Pours dark brown with a thin head. Smells subtly of caramel, dark chocolate and coffee. In terms of flavor, it is a slightly boring one-note of roasted malt and coffee. Very sessionable. Simple and easy drinking, if not unspectacular.

On tap at Magpie Brewing in Seoul. The porter was 1000 won more than their other beers but at 6000 won for a pint it is still cheap compared to Japan! It pours a nice dark brown color with a light beige head & a mild chocolate aroma. The flavor had bitter chocolate notes, quite good. My favorite of their 3 beers.
