Sampled with Katie, Brett and Nicole while visiting our place in Steamboat for some skiing in December 08. Black center, with maroon edges. Aroma is light chocolate and smoke. Roasty flavor, but pretty weak. Ashy, very dry finish. Quite simple and enjoyable. Aubrey (3516) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - MAR 19, 2004
UPDATED: JUN 4, 2005 Very dark - pretty much black ... with a tan, lasting head. Roasty nose. Nice carbonation ... smooth; body seemed a little light at times. Dark malts exuded flavors and aromas such as burntness, coffee, bitter chocolate, and smoke. Maybe even a bit of peat. Not too shabby of a porter.
