Fra flaske på bryggeripuben 10 Okt 14. Dyp mørkebrun. Lavt skum som varer en stund. Litt lacing. Svakt fruktig aroma. Smaken veldig lett. Hint av plommer. Lett-drikkelig.

500ml bottle in the biergarten of the brewpub. Deep dark ruby coloured body. Beige head that stayed well leaving lacework on the glass. Dark fruity aroma. Taste of dark fruits with a backdrop of brown malts. Malt-fruity finish, slightly roasted. Clean in the mouth. Pleasing (Bamberg 10.10.2014).

My Bottom Line:
This smashing Dunkel serves up nutty caramel, earthy hops and orangey angles in a most adorable mouthfeel.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy head of foam settles atop the orangey brown.
-Malt flavors are beautifully expressed without falling into heavy residual sugars.
-Hops are harmonious with the grain bill.
-This is one of those Dunkels which, when properly served, can give luster to this oft-forgotten style.

On tap at the brewery gasthof.

500ml bottle. Brown color with minimal white head. Caramel aroma. Taste is similar. A little thin. Not the best of the style.
